What is Crazy Time?

Crazy Time from Evolution is a unique and thrilling live gameshow with four exciting bonus rounds that has become the developer’s most successful release to date and the world’s most popular live casino game. Players interact with a host during the gameplay, where a giant wheel containing 54 segments is spun, a multiplier reel potentially enhancing wins activates, and payouts are awarded, including standard returns of up to 10x and a chance of activating those lucrative features which are Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko, and the best bonus of all, Crazy Time.

How To Play Crazy Time

With so much action packed into one game, you could be forgiven for wondering exactly where you’re going to start and how to play Crazy Time, but don’t worry; this is what we’re here for.

So initially, you’ll need to choose a bet size to play at; these range from as little as €0.10, with the highest bet available on Crazy Time coming in at €1,000, although these values will vary depending upon the casino you are playing at and the currency you are playing in. The increments you can bet are placed before you on the player dashboard so that you can tailor your stake size to your desired amount.

The next thing you need to do is, of course, decide what you’re going to bet on. Multiple options are placed around the wheel, comprising numbers and bonus rounds. We’ve shared the possibilities you can bet on and how many of those options appear on the wheel in the next section of this review. It should be noted that you can bet on multiple outcomes on any spin.

Another huge change that Evolution Gaming has made compared to their previous wheel games is adding the potential for a multiplier to all winning outcomes on Crazy Time. Once you have placed your bet and whilst the wheel is spinning, a multiplier reel will also be in action above it. Before the wheel stops, the multiplier reels may rest at one of the eight possible outcomes the wheel can stop on, with a multiplier of up to 50x also attached. If your selected bet wins and has been enhanced by the multiplier, then you will win that amount or carry your multiplied stake into the winning bonus round. However, players should also be aware that the reels can land on blank sections, meaning there is no multiplier active for that round.

Crazy Time Payouts, Wheel Positions & Probability

Below, we have displayed the win possibilities and Crazy Time payouts that can be achieved when playing the game. This details the chances of hitting a specific position on the wheel, which is displayed as a percentage.

Crazy Time Odds

Whilst there are eight potential outcomes the wheel can stop on when playing Crazy Time, only four have set odds. This is because the bonus games are purely chance, where each feature can differ in value from the one that played out before. The complete list of Crazy Time odds is as follows.

Crazy Time Bonus Rounds

Okay, it’s the part of our review you’ve probably been waiting for, and that’s the bonus rounds that can be activated on Crazy Time. Four exciting features can be won, and two involve player interaction while the bonuses play out.

Due to the set-up of the wheel, Evolution has confirmed that, on average, you will be in a bonus round every six spins of the wheel. So clearly, Evo is trying to keep the game as busy as possible, and the best way to do that is bonuses, bonuses, bonuses! So let’s see what is on offer.

Coin Flip

When Coin Flip is activated, you will be taken to the coin flip machine, where you will see a coin that is coloured blue on one side and red on the other. Above the machine, two random multiplier amounts will be designated to each colour, and then the coin will flip. Whichever side the coin lands on, that multiplier amount will be applied to your stake. Of all the bonus rounds, this is the lowest paying, and unless you hit a reel enhancer upon the trigger, you can win payouts as low as 5x.

Cash Hunt

Cash Hunt is a bonus on Crazy Time that puts you in the heart of the action, and this has been thought through very well by the guys at Evolution to increase player interaction within their live casino games.

Once this bonus is triggered, the game will move to the cash hunt screen, which will see a total of 108 multipliers on display. These will then be shuffled and covered with symbols ranging from ducks to stars.

Right now, to the fun part! The game will now present you with a cannon, which you can manoeuvre over each target, carefully selecting which one you want to shoot. Pull the trigger on your mouse or mobile device, and your multiplier amount will be revealed. The top multiplier on offer for this bonus is 500x your bet, so it’s not too shabby at all, especially if you’re entering it already on a multiplier from the wheel.

Pachinko

The game Pachinko is more associated with the Japanese Pachinko parlours, but Evolution has devised a fun version that can be triggered on Crazy Time. When activated, the host heads to the top of the Pachinko game, where they are instructed randomly on where to place the ball. This will then make its way down the pegs to where it will finally rest in a multiplier value or the word double.

If the ball stops in a multiplier value, your stake will be multiplied by that amount, and the bonus will end. If the ball lands in the double section, all multiplier values will be doubled, and the ball will be dropped again. Multiple doubles can be awarded, with the max value of the multipliers being able to reach 10,000x.

Crazy Time

Of course, the monster of all bonus rounds has been reserved for the name of the game. Yes, that’s right, casino fans; the Crazy Time bonus round is where big money can be won, and entering this part of the game will be pure excitement for any player.

The virtual wheel contains a total of 64 positions that are populated with multiplier values and doubles & triples galore. Your role in this bonus round is to select the colour of your flapper, with green, blue, or yellow being the options made available to you. When the wheel stops, you will be awarded the value at which your selected flapper stopped. If this was a double or triple, all multipliers will be doubled or tripled, and the wheel will be spun again. This will continue until all players have won a multiplier amount, with the maximum value of the multipliers reaching 20,000x.

What Is Crazy Time Statistic Tracking?

Thousands of players around the globe are fascinated with Crazy Time Live from Evolution Gaming, and they are looking to try and gain even the slightest advantage over the house. One such method that has led to several websites now offering specific Crazy Time History software is the tracking of statistics over a period of time.

The theory behind this method is that a pattern may develop of specific numbers or bonus rounds that haven’t landed on the wheel for several spins, potentially meaning that a big payout may be around the corner. The big question is, though, does this system for Crazy Time work? So, I suppose we should start by asking the following:

Why Do Players Check Previous Spin Results?

As I alluded to in the last section, players like to use a casino stats tracker for Crazy Time to try and get insight into what position the wheel may stop on next. However, this is a classic example of a gambler’s fallacy, whereby they think on Crazy Time that if a bonus round hasn’t landed for, say, the last 50 previous spins as an example, that one must be due to hit on the next spin or shortly after.

Whilst the live statistics of previous Crazy Time outcomes that are right before your eyes could very well make you believe this, the actual math and true probability behind the game reveals that each section of the wheel has the same chance of landing as it always has, regardless of how many times it hasn’t appeared previously.

Are There Any Benefits To Using Stats Trackers?

Whilst you should never place your bets on Crazy Time based on historical spin results, the additional information provided by the stat tracker sites can yield another very important and vital insight, and that’s how much, on average, each bonus round is paying when they are activated.

This data can help you better structure your bets. For example, as you’d expect, the Coin Flip bonus is the most likely of the four exciting bonus games to land when the wheel stops on Crazy Time (4 Wheel Positions), with an average win of just 12x over a 24-hour period, according to the stats. So, using the crucial information provided can give you a feel of what to expect from these features in the long run when they eventually land and will help you decide which of them is worth betting on.

What Do Crazy Time Trackers Tell You?

There is some valuable information to take away from the stats trackers that you can use to your advantage, these include:

  • Spin History of where the wheel lands

  • Reports of the biggest wins on the four bonus games and the latest top multipliers

  • What numbers are hot & cold

  • The last time a winning number or bonus round was hit

Crazy Time Strategy

As with all gambling games, players are always looking to gain an edge over the house, and that is again the case with Crazy Time, as punters look for prediction software, patterns, and simulators to try and work out what to bet on and when. It’s important to remember that due to the house edge, the casino will always win in the long term, but you can still have some fun and gain some success with several playing methods. We have listed some of our favourite Crazy Time strategies below, which you can try if you wish.

Watch & Wait Strategy

This could easily be classed as both a long-game and a short-game strategy, but those who love to pit their wits against the wheel might enjoy it.

Games of all shapes and sizes run hot and cold, so we suggest you use the history tab on the game or our Crazy Time tracker and look at the last 60 spins of the wheel. From here, you can see, on average, how many spins it takes to activate the bonuses playing out in real-time.

If the bonuses are hitting more frequently than every 6 spins, then it would be considered a good strategy to structure your bets around the bonus segments every 3 to 4 spins or whatever the current average may work out at.

Alternatively, if the average is above 6, then it would be wise to hold off for as long as you can and then place bets on each bonus segment. The latter certainly requires some patience, and if you can wait for a string of results where a bonus didn’t land for up to 10 or 15 spins, then this strategy could quite easily pay off.

The Martingale Strategy

It would be impossible to discuss betting strategies on a wheel-based game without mentioning the Martingale system. Whilst there are countless other techniques that players have used in games like Roulette, the Martingale is one of the most heard of and used.

Bringing this strategy to the table in Crazy Time will require two things: a healthy playing balance and nerves of steel!

This strategy requires you to place a bet on all four bonus segments, let’s say with a starting bet of €0.50 each, so a total bet of €2.

If a bonus lands on the wheel from this initial bet, you would play that out and start the process again. If, however, a bonus doesn’t land, you would need to double the amount that you stake on each bonus segment. This would mean a €1 stake across the four segments, equaling a total bet of €4.

Another losing spin would mean that you would need to double up the bets again, so €2 on each with a total of €8 staked.

Continuing this strategy and working it out on the average of a bonus every 6 spins would equate to the following.

1st round – €0.50 on each segment: €2 staked – Total loss €2.

2nd round – €1 on each segment: €4 staked – Total running loss €6.

3rd round – €2 on each segment: €8 staked – Total running loss €14.

4th round – €4 on each segment: €16 staked – Total running loss €30.

5th round – €8 on each segment: €32 staked – Total running loss €62.

6th round – €16 on each segment: €64 staked – bonus won after a total of €126 staked.

You can see how this strategy can soon get very expensive and eat through your bankroll. It’s certainly not for the faint-hearted, especially if you start going 10+ spins without a bonus. But in our example above, and working only on the average of a bonus every six spins, you would be playing a bonus round with a stake of £16. This would mean that anything over 8x during the awarded bonus is a profit.

Bonus Round Strategy

As I mentioned, on average, you can expect to be taking part in one of the bonus rounds on Crazy Time every six spins of the wheel, so it makes sense to have a solid strategy around this area of the game. We know from earlier in our review of the game that the Coin Flip Bonus has 4 sections on the wheel, the Pachinko and Cash Hunt Bonus games each have 2 sections, and the Crazy Time Bonus has 1 space. Just as a reminder, this is the odds of each position landing on a spin:

  • Coin Flip 7.40%
  • Cash Hunt 3.70%
  • Crazy Time 3.70%
  • Pachinko 1.85%

A strategy that focuses purely on the bonus rounds is to make a low bet on each of the 4 bonus sections and completely ignore the number of segments of the game. Most of the bonus rounds pay 5 to 10x your bet, but with a bit of luck from one of the multipliers coming into play, you could easily win a significant amount of money, too.

If you’re aggressive, you can double your bet on each of the 4 bonus sections every time a bonus isn’t hit for 6 straight spins. However, don’t forget that 1 out of every 6 spins is an average, so it’s possible for 15 or more spins to go by without 1 of the bonus spaces hitting. So be careful about doubling your bets too quickly, as you could easily deplete your bankroll before anything hits.

The Best Crazy Time Strategy

To increase your chances of winning in Crazy Time, the most effective strategy involves a combination of bets on numbers and bonus sections. Here’s an example of a recommended betting strategy for Crazy Time:

Start with a small bet unit, such as €1, which should be suitable for most players. However, if you have a larger bankroll, you can consider starting with a higher unit. Place bets ranging from €3 to €5 on the number 1 and €1 on each of the 4 bonus spaces. While most of your wins will come from the 21 number 1 spaces in this strategy, the real potential for big winnings lies in your bet on the bonus sections.

By following this strategy, you will cover 30 out of the 54 spaces on each round, and over the long run, you can expect to win approximately 55.60% of your spins. However, it’s important to note that not all wins will result in a profit. For instance, if you bet €4 on the number 1 and it wins without a multiplier, you will win €4 but lose €4 on the bonus space bets. However, there are instances where a multiplier from the slot reels can accompany a win on your number 1 bet. Nevertheless, breaking even is not necessarily a negative outcome, as the objective is to remain in the game long enough to unlock a significant win in one of the four bonus games.

To enhance your strategy, you can employ a modified Martingale system. This involves doubling your bet on the number 1 space after each non-winning spin and doubling your bets on the bonus spaces after every 6 spins that do not trigger a bonus game. If you have a substantial bankroll and prefer a more aggressive approach, consider doubling your bets on the bonus spaces more frequently. Then, after each win, return to your original bet amounts.

Crazy Time Hacks & Cheats

If you’re looking for Crazy Time cheats, sadly, there aren’t any available. You can search the internet from top to bottom, and you won’t find any hacks or cheat codes for Crazy Time that work. So if you see anyone claiming they have a cheat or way to 100% beat the wheel, you need to run away as fast as possible because I can guarantee you that it is a scam.

Crazy Time Demo

Unfortunately, Evolution does not provide a demo of any of its live casino games, including Crazy Time. Of course, there’s always the potential for things to change, but for now, there is no option to play Crazy Time for free.

Pros

  • One of the best live Casino gameshow experiences online.
  • Four bonus rounds can be activated.
  • In-game interaction allows you to choose your own destiny.
  • Players customise their bets and playing strategy.

Cons

  • The coin flip bonus can produce some relatively low wins.
  • Crazy Time can go on long spells with no bonus rounds.

Crazy Time Final Thoughts

Evolution Gaming has truly outdone itself with the creation of Crazy Time, surpassing the success of its previous creations like Dream Catcher and Monopoly Live. One of the most exciting features of Crazy Time is the increased level of player interaction. This heightened engagement gives punters a significant advantage, as they now have more influence on the overall outcome of the game. The enhanced player participation is bound to lead to moments of joyous celebration and endless speculation about the "what ifs".
