Divine Battle (BGaming) Slot Demo & Review

Good vs Evil, Dark vs Light, Love Vs Hate, which will finally prevail and be victorious? Whilst I can’t give you a universal answer to that age-old question, I can point you in the direction of yet another online slot using it as a theme in an attempt to attract new fans and players. The studio behind this release is none other than BGaming, with their title Divine Battle. As for its core vitals, we have a 6-reel slot operating on the scatter pays system with an RTP of 95.97% and a maximum win of 15,000x bet,

You can never be sure what to expect when encountering a scatter pays game. Sometimes, they are packed full of features, and on other occasions, they offer very little in the form of bonuses and modifiers. BGaming’s Divine Battle falls into the latter category, and other than a cascading reels mechanic in the base game, you’ll find very little else to keep you entertained. Things do improve somewhat in the free spins feature, where multiplier symbols can appear with values of up to 100x, so there is at least some potential to get near that 15,000x jackpot.

Who will come out on top? The evil baddy looking to suck your balance dry, or the hero of the slot trying their best to help you secure a big win? Find out by taking our free Divine Battle demo slot for a spin.

Divine Battle Slot Paytable

I used the term versus to describe a few of the everyday things we encounter as an introduction to this slot, and it got me thinking there are quite a few games out there that seem to draw the battle lines between characters as part of their theme. If you’re not aware of these titles, let me point you in the direction of Man Vs Gator from Elk Studios, the brilliant Aussies Vs Emus from Blue Guru Games, and the player favourite Granny Vs Zombies from Pear Fiction Studios.

Let’s get back to Divine Battle, where, over at the paytable, the highest-valued symbol is Zeus, worth 50x the bet for winning combos of 12 or more. Hades follows with returns of 25x, with Pegasus next at 15x, whilst the Skeleton completes the premium section with a payout of 12x bet. That just leaves us with the lower pays represented by the royals, with the Ace paying 10x, the King at 8x, a Queen at 5x, and the Jack and Ten awarding 4x and 2x, respectively, if 12+ symbols are part of a win.

We’re going to wrap up this part of the review by discussing possible staking options available for real money on Divine Battle. Players can start the reels spinning from just €0.20, whilst the maximum price per play reaches €12.

Divine Battle Slot Base Game & Modifiers

Divine Battle Slot Base Game
Divine Battle slot base game

Divine Battle is set over a 6×5 reel configuration and operates on the scatter pays mechanic. This requires players to land at least 8 matching symbols anywhere within the playfield for a win to be awarded. All winning combos activate the tumbling reels engine, which removes winning symbols from the reels, allowing new symbols to fall from above, creating the possibility for new wins to be awarded.

Double Chance

Choosing to activate the double chance option will increase the size of your current bet by 25% but will also double the likelihood that you will trigger the free spins feature.

Divine Battle Slot Bonus Features

Divine Battle Slot Free Spins Feature

In the base game, if 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols appear on the screen simultaneously, the bonus round will be triggered, and 10, 20, or 30 free spins will be awarded, respectively.

Free Spins Feature

During the bonus round, new multiplier symbols can now appear on the reels with a value ranging from 2x to 100x attached to them. If these multipliers are in view at the end of any winning spin, their values will be added together and applied to the win.

Bonus Buy

Players from non-restricted areas can trigger the free spins feature instantly via the feature buy option, which costs 100x the bet.

Pros

  • The overall design of the slot is good.
  • Higher max win than other slot games that are similar.

Cons

  • The multiplier in the free spins resets after each spin.
  • No base game modifiers.

Divine Battle Slot Review Final Thoughts

Divine Battle isn't a complete failure from BGaming, but all of its features and mechanics have been done a million times before. Sure, the max is good at 15,000x, but Pragmatic Play's Sweet Bonanza 1000 and Gates of Olympus 1000 are by far the better options when playing slots in the scatter pays niche.
