10000 Bc Doublemax Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Where do I even begin when comparing this game to previous online slots? I guess that I could start with the Gigablox mechanic, which is something that has always intrigued me! Numerous developers include similar features in their games under the guise of ‘Gigablox’ – Dragonblox Gigablox and Buffalo Blox, for example, were released by Peter & Sons and Jelly, respectively, and I know that Yggdrasil has released Gigablox slots as well. Coincidentally, looking at Buffalo Blox just now for the first time in a while made me realise that it’s actually quite similar to 10,000 BC DoubleMax in terms of its theme. However, this game looks much better than Jelly’s machine – the symbols are beautifully drawn, the animations are silky smooth, and I didn’t even find myself reaching for the mute button within the first two minutes as I do with most other online slots!
Presentation-wise then, this game is undoubtedly first-class, so how about the paytable? The highest-paying mammoth symbol will only pay you 1.5x the total bet for a full payline of five of a kind. The next symbol down – the tiger – drops to just 0.75x for all five symbols, followed by the rhino at 0.6x and the wolf/bear, which shares equal returns of 0.4x for a complete payline. That leaves the five royal symbols divided into two groups – five aces or kings will pay you 0.35x the current stake, whilst five queens, jacks, or tens award just 0.3x the total bet. These numbers are pretty low, as I’m sure you will agree, but we have to remember the DoubleMax feature is in play, so any of these wins can potentially have massive multipliers applied to them.
The betting range offers minimum/maximum wagers of €0.20 and €100.00 per spin, respectively. As is often the case today, the upper end of this range is a little bit thin on betting options, but for most players, this should not cause any problems.
Base Game & Modifiers
The gameplay on 10000 BC DoubleMax is set across a 5×5 reel matrix with a total of 50 paylines. Players will be awarded a win when a minimum of three matching symbols land, starting from the leftmost reel first.
Doublemax
Whenever a winning combination forms on the playfield, the game will evaluate your winnings before causing the included symbols to explode and disappear from the reels. When this occurs, one wild symbol will be added to the playfield to replace one of the exploded symbols, in addition to doubling the total win multiplier. This multiplier is reset between rounds during the base game but can still reach a significant value if you are fortunate enough to win several times from a single paid spin.
Gigablox & Mammoth Shuffle
Gigablox are huge symbols that can appear in 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 configurations! I didn’t see the latter appearing during the time that I was testing the game, however, but I certainly did see plenty of the 2×2 and 3×3 varieties.
On any spin where a large Gigablox appears on the right side of the reels, yet no winning combinations are formed, the Mammoth may show up and push your Gigablox towards the left to guarantee a winning combination. On subsequent re-spins, the Gigablox will move back towards the right one reel at a time.
Mammoth Explode Feature
On any losing spin, the mammoth may decide to hit the reels and destroy random symbols. Whenever this occurs, the new symbols that drop down to fill the resulting gaps are guaranteed to create a winning combination.
Golden Bet
The Golden Bet is a bonus bet feature that will double the odds of triggering the free spin bonus round. The Golden Bet costs 25% extra on top of the normal price of each spin and does not alter the game’s RTP.

Hitting three or more scatter symbols during a single base game round in 10000 BC DoubleMax will trigger the main bonus round and award 10 free spins to begin with.

- The standard payouts listed on the paytable are very low – a standard spin with no mods or features is unlikely to ever result in anything exciting.
- Whilst the 10,000x jackpot cap is certainly acceptable, the doubling multipliers offered by the bonus round may cause a few too many players to bump into the limit for my liking.
Final Thoughts
As the developer promised, the combination of Gigablox and DoubleMax with a handful of new modifiers and unique features is undoubtedly an exciting one!
