I don’t recall coming across the developer Gamevy before now, but my first impressions of their attempt at a 10p Roulette online game were generally positive. This variant of the hugely popular table game is based on European rules, which are more favourable to the player than those used on American Roulette tables. The most important aspect of this is that the wheel only includes a single zero, resulting in a house edge of 2.7% or an RTP of 97.3%. As with all other European Roulette games, the maximum win attainable in Gamevy’s version is 36x the total stake – you can, of course, continue to up your bets after winning if you’re unhappy with that number!

No attempt has been made here to include any unique or special features – the developer has stuck to the core roulette game, concentrating their efforts on making the game easy to play with a clear user interface. In many cases, when developers reduce the minimum bet to a tiny amount, such as what we have here, they will offer a lower RTP to ensure that the casino is still going to be able to make a profit from players who spend a long time playing the game. That isn’t the case here – despite the relatively tiny range of permitted bets, players are not penalised in any way.

The popularity of roulette on the casino floor is undeniable – the game has been battling it out with Blackjack for the most played casino table game for decades, and whilst the card game is generally accepted as the winner of that battle today, Roulette certainly does not lag far behind. There isn’t much to separate this version of roulette from any other that doesn’t include special features. Take the 20p Roulette game by Inspired, for example, which has proven hugely popular with players both online and in arcades and bookmakers shops throughout the United Kingdom. That game was also played with European rules, and we rated it 7.3 in our review not long ago. Is 10p Roulette any better or worse than that version? Not really. The graphics are quite similar – personally, I do prefer the look of Inspired’s table, but I’m sure there will be plenty who disagree with me on that one! As for some hints and tips, you could always try some of the methods we have studied here on our site. Check out the Fibonacci Roullete Strategy, James Bond Strategy, Martingale Strategy, Labouchere Strategy, Insurance Strategy and D’Alembert Roulette Strategy systems if you wish.

Although roulette doesn’t utilise paylines, it does have a paytable – betting on a single number has odds of 35:1, for example, resulting in a 36x payout as you also get your original stake back. Placing a chip on the dividing line between two numbers will get you 18x your bet back, whilst a “street” bet on three numbers will pay 12x the current stake in winnings. You can also choose to bet on a corner (four numbers) for a return of 9x, a “six-line” at 6x, and then there are several even money bets such as red or black, odd or even, and high or low. Players are free to bet on any combination of these that they like during a single round – if you want to bet on an odd red high number, for example, you can do that.

10p Roulette offers five different sizes of chips, but these bear no relation to any kind of betting limit – the minimum bet is obviously 10p, but you can bet up to £2,500 on the even money bets. If you are placing chips on a single number, the limit is much lower at just £125 per round.

Base Game & Modifiers

It’s hard to imagine there will be many players who have no prior experience playing roulette reading this, but hey – anything is possible! After loading the game, you’ll be presented with a layout featuring 36 individual numbers, the green zero on the left side, and the various even-money and street bets positioned around the outside.

Next, pick a chip from the rack displayed underneath the layout – you can choose from 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, or £5, and combine these in any way you wish across the layout. When you are ready, hit the spin button, and a virtual roulette wheel will be displayed over the top of the betting layout to show you the results. This is a very quick process in this version of the game, which I appreciate – I do wonder if some sites will add a delay between spins though, as the natural flow of the game here is much quicker than what is permissible by regulations in my country.

10p Roulette Bonus Features

Unfortunately, no bonus features are included in 10p Roulette.

Pros

  • European rules are much more favourable to the player than US rules.
  • A clear user interface works well on all devices.
  • Bets accepted right down to just 10p a spin.

Cons

  • No special features – it’s straightforward European Roulette and nothing else.

Final Thoughts

There’s not much more to say about this one – if you want to play roulette for small money, Gamevy has created the perfect game for you! If you’re not overly fussed about being able to place 10p chips on the layout, you could go for any other version of roulette that you prefer the look of.
