5 Rabbits Megaways Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Judging by the number of recent releases with “rabbit” in the title, it looks as if the animal could be the subject of the next craze in online slots! We looked at Red Tiger’s Alice in Wonderland inspired ‘In the Rabbit Hole’ just recently, and before that, we were hooked on Blue Guru’s excellent Napoleon vs Rabbits (check that one out if you haven’t already!). I guess that enormous animals are part of the theme here, as the final two high-paying symbols are a fish and a tortoise, both of which have a return of 2.5x the bet for a complete payway. But where are the rabbits, I hear you ask? Aha, the rabbit acts as the wild symbol in this game and has no special payout of its own. Curiously, the wilds only appear on reels two through five – that’s four rabbits, Pragmatic Play! Where’s the fifth one?! I think we should ask for a refund, guys!

The 5 Rabbits playfield features six reels, each of which randomly divides into between two and seven rows on each spin. There’s no additional horizontal row in this game, so the minimum/maximum number of payways works out at 64 and 117,649, respectively. All winning combinations require at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left, except for the scatter, which pays anywhere.
Wild Multiplier
A random multiplier will be applied to any winning combination that includes one or more golden rabbit wild symbols. 5 Rabbits is yet another solid release from Pragmatic Play, but the same old caveats apply; why is the winnings cap so low? 5,000x the current bet is ridiculously small for a Megaways machine considering that other games can pay 20,000x, 50,000x, or even 100,000x the current stake.
This wouldn’t be such a problem if the game wasn’t so massively volatile, but as it stands, I can imagine more than a few players will quickly run into this limit. Whilst this is undoubtedly a fun game, I must mark it down slightly for this seemingly unnecessary limitation.
