Agent Ace (Jili Games) Slot Demo & Review

The names Bond, James Bond. Well, not exactly, but move over 007 because there’s a new operator in town. His name is Ace, Agent Ace, and he stars in this slot release from provider Jili Games. The Agent Ace slot game not only comes with a super cool spy theme but also features five reels, with three rows on each and a total of 25 paylines. Additionally, there’s an RTP of 96% and a maximum win of 1,000x to shoot for.

Agent Ace is a simple, classic, five-reel slot. However, there is plenty of action to be had, with a free spin bonus to trigger where you aim to catch the supervillain and transform symbols into wilds, along with an in-play base game feature which can turn certain symbols wild when activated; some of which can contain multipliers giving you a chance to hit a substantial win. Unfortunately, there is no bonus buy or ante-bet option available.

So, it’s time to put on your tux, grab your PPK and order your favourite cocktail. Don’t get too comfortable, though; we’ve got some criminal masterminds to deal with! But before all that, go and check out the Agent Ace slot demo, which is available to play for free below!

If you’re anywhere near my generation, you’ll have fond memories of the Bond movies and associated entertainment, such as the fantastic Goldeneye game on the N64 console. So, on the face of it, you’d imagine a world full of gorgeous, mysterious women, notorious, evil crime lords, and suave, suited heroes would be a rich source of inspiration for slot developers. But surprisingly, there are actually very few slot games that spring to mind within this genre. One such game is Max Megaways 2, from provider Big Time Gaming, which offers a tempting potential maximum win of nearly 150,000x your stake! Now, that really would impress the ladies! Can Jili’s Agent Ace slot hit those dizzy heights? Let’s find out.

The top paying symbol on Agent Ace is the Wild, which pays a lucrative 200x your stake for a line of five. Secondly, we have Agent Ace, who will return 50x per full line. Next up, it’s the Red Villain symbol, which pays 40x, with the remaining three premium symbols being the Briefcase, the Pistol and the Watch, which all return 20x. The A, K, Q and J comprise the non-premium symbols and pay 15x, 15x, 10x and 10x, respectively, for a full line of five.

There are a wide variety of stake-size options available on Agent Ace ranging from 1-1000, with increments of 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 700. However, these units are likely used for the demo slot only to showcase the game, which is something we tend to see a lot of from Asian game providers. If you choose to play for real money, the bet selection will be more specific to your location and currency.

Agent Ace Slot Base Game

Agent Ace Base Game
Agent Ace base game

Agent Ace utilises a traditional, five-reel, three-row setup with 25 fixed paylines. All payouts are achieved by matching at least three corresponding symbols from left to right, commencing on the first reel.

Ace Agent

During the base game, landing two of the Bullet Time scatter symbols will activate a feature called Ace Agent. As a result, any red villain symbols present on the reels at the time of that spin will be transformed into wilds. These wilds have a multiplier value attached, which can range from 1x to 3x. Any multiplier wilds involved in a winline will have their values added together, and the pay for that line is then multiplied by the accumulated total.

Agent Ace Slot Bonus Features

Agent Ace Free Spins Feature
Agent Ace free spins feature

The free spins feature is triggered by landing at least three Bullet Time scatter symbols within any game round. It is possible to activate the bonus with more than three scatters, which will award you a higher number of starting spins. Landing four scatters will give you 12 spins, whilst the maximum five scatters will see you commence the bonus round with 15 free spins.

Free Spins Feature

During the bonus, any of the Red Villain symbols that land will be shot by Agent Ace and transformed into a wild symbol. The total number of villains that Agent Ace has dispatched will be clocked up on a meter, and there are then game enhancements to be won after you reach a certain number. Once you have hit 8, all briefcase symbols will become wild for the rest of the bonus, and one free spin will be added. After 16, the pistol symbol will also turn wild, and another two free spins will be awarded.

If you’re fortunate enough to reach 22, you’ll have the watch symbol activated as a wild, plus three added spins. Reaching the dizzy heights of 28 will award you the final enhancement, a 2x multiplier, which doubles the total win achieved in each subsequent spin. If you manage to get this far, things can get interesting, and a full screen of Wilds is definitely a possibility.

Pros

  • Strong line pay values.
  • Catchy soundtrack and effects.
  • Free spins bonus can be exciting.

Cons

  • Low max win of 1000x.
  • Scatter symbols act as blockers in the Ace Agent feature.

Agent Ace Slot Review Final Thoughts

There’s a lot to like about Agent Ace. The winline pay values are good, especially if you can link a line of five wild symbols for the 200x return. The music and sound effects are well produced and sync well with the game theme, as do the graphics, which are colourful and attractive. If you’re able to progress early in the bonus round and have a lot of wilds active, then it can quickly become an exciting feature, with the opportunity of a full screen of wilds seemingly not far away. I wasn’t a fan of the base game feature, Ace Agent, as the two scatter symbols that activate it almost always seem to act as line blockers for the activated wild symbols, stopping the chance for decent wins. The low max win of 1000x is clearly a negative and seems very small for a modern slot. Overall, it's not bad, but certainly not a classic.
