Amazing Link Poseidon Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Did you think I was exaggerating about Poseidon being the man of the moment? If so, I guess you haven’t seen our recent reviews of games such as Ancient Fortunes Poseidon Megaways or 15 Tridents! In fairness, the trend has been ongoing for quite a while now, long before the original Rise of Olympus online slot was created by Play’N’Go. That machine saw an update recently too, but Athens Megaways seems to have been the first game of the current Poseidon trend. As you might expect, Poseidon makes an appearance as the highest-paying symbol to appear on the reels. He’s also wild , and even appears as a full-height stacked symbol, which makes his return of 10x for a full payline of five-of-a-kind even more attractive. The remaining high-paying symbols are all represented by undersea creatures. The sea horse will pay you 5x your bet for all five symbols, whilst the shark and jellyfish have a return of 4x for a complete pay line. The sea turtle takes the last high-paying spot with a payout of 3x for a full five-of-a-kind combination. The remainder of the paytable consists of six royal symbols with values ranging between 1x and 2x your bet for a full pay line.
The betting range is wide enough to suit all players, with minimum/maximum permitted wagers of €0.20 and €50.00 per spin, respectively. I think it’s fair to say that between those amounts, there will be a stake size to play at that fits in with your current bankroll.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Amazing Link Poseidon takes place on a traditional five reel, three row layout with 20 fixed paylines. All winning combinations require you to hit at least three matching symbols on a pay line starting from the lefthand side.
Pick Me Feature
I was a little torn about whether to include this in the bonus rounds section, as it is certainly special despite the game calling it a lowly pick-me feature!
In reality, this is a jackpot feature with four prizes; the MINI at 20x your bet, the MINOR at 50x, the MAJOR at 500x, and finally, the MEGA at 5,000x your total stake.
Poseidon Modifier
Poseidon can show up on any base game spin and place several wild amazing symbols in random positions on the playfield. These wild amazing symbols are a golden variant of the standard blue amazing symbol, meaning they can help create winning paylines and contribute towards triggering the amazing link feature.
Amazing Link Poseidon Slot Bonus Features
There are two different sets of scatters included in Amazing Link Poseidon, each of which is used to trigger a different bonus round. First, the amazing symbol is represented by a blue circle of water, and you will need six of these to trigger the amazing link feature. The second set of scatters shows an old roman building with the word bonus written at the bottom, and you only need to land three of these to trigger the free spin bonus round.
Amazing Link Feature
This is a typical three-spin feature, meaning you are given three re-spins to fill as many reel positions as possible. The six triggering amazing symbols are locked in place before the feature begins, leaving nine more positions available to fill.
If you land at least one amazing symbol on each re-spin, your remaining spin counter will be reset to three. If you go three spins in a row without landing any more amazing symbols, the feature will end.
Each amazing symbol that lands during this mode will have a cash prize attached to it and all cash prizes that are visible on screen at the end of the bonus will be added together to form your overall win. If you fill the entire screen with amazing symbols, the game will automatically pay you the MEGA jackpot of 5,000x your bet.

Many games with a three-spin feature will use that in place of a free spin-based bonus round, but SpinPlay has been generous this time and included both!
However, this isn’t the most exciting free spins feature, as there does not seem to be any advantage of playing these spins over a regular base game spin. It really is ten “free spins” – and not much else.

I feel we’ve finished on a negative note with the free spins feature, and it was a little bit disappointing, in truth. Apart from that one aspect of the game, though, Amazing Link Poseidon is a well-presented online slot with plenty of potential for winning big. It’s unlikely to become anybody’s favourite, but it’s still a fun blast for a handful of sessions.
