Arctic Sorcerer Gigablox Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Okay, what else can we say about the theme of Arctic Sorcerer Gigablox, then? First of all, it seems like my man has built himself an ultra-sized replica of the Disney castle up there – mad props for that brother; it even pops out above the clouds! Could we ever build such a structure one day? It’s quite unlikely unless the tower’s base was so large that it would waste many square miles of land just for foundation piles. Even the prospect of a space elevator is a long shot, given that we do not currently know of any material that can support its own weight at the length required to build such a structure. Perhaps the Arctic Sorcerer could help us out with a massive counterweight to attach to the space-bound end? This would counteract the force of gravity and…. So Mr Sorcerer, will you give me some magical payouts? Disappointingly, the paytable does not update if you change your current stake, so you are left to do the math on your own if you want to understand how much each symbol is worth. The Polar Bear seems to top the list at “250” for a full pay line of six-of-a-kind, but what does this mean? With a bit of digging, I determined that the “base bet” is 50 coins, so 250 means you will win 5x your current stake. Not too tricky to work out, but not very impressive either; perhaps that’s why they chose to obfuscate the returns this way! The Wolf is worth just 2x for all six, whilst the owl and deer are both worth just 1.5x your bet for entire lines of six symbols.
I felt pretty disappointed until I went back to spinning the reels and remembered that this was a Gigablox machine! This effectively means that you could hit a 5×5 monster symbol of Polar Bears, for example, and that one spin would be worth 50x the 5x normal payout. So, we are up to 250x your bet as the maximum base game hit… a little better, but still, where are the jackpots at, guys?!
You have the option of wagering anywhere from €0.50 to €50.00 per spin, which is a decent spread, although there are just 12 steps in between these two limits, which feels a tad restrictive.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base gameplay is quite unlike any other online slot (apart from other games featuring Gigablox, of course!), as the 6×5 playfield will deliver a different reel configuration on every single spin. Sometimes you will get lots of 1×1 symbols, whilst other times there will be a 3×3 or 4×4 gigablock occupying more than half of the screen. Unfortunately, this doesn’t guarantee you will win, but it does help!
Arctic Blast Modifier
During any base game or bonus round spin, an arctic blast feature may trigger adding one or more mystery Gigablox to the reel set. After the reels have stopped, the sorcerer will use his magic to transform all these mystery blocks into high paying symbols, wilds, or even scatters!

The main bonus round is a free spin-based affair and requires a minimum of five scatters to be triggered. If a scatter appears as a gigablock, it will divide into 1×1 segments. Therefore, a 2×2 gigablock is the equivalent of four scatter symbols.
The number of triggering scatter symbols determines the number of spins awarded. Each scatter is worth between one and three spins. During this mode, the sorcerer will split any wild gigablocks into 1×1 multiplier wilds, increasing the value of the wild block significantly.
During the free spins feature, all wilds that land will be added to a meter, boosting your remaining free spin counter every time you pass chunks of five wild symbols. If you fill the meter to 20 wilds, 8 free spins are added to your remaining total.

I really enjoy these Gigablox slots – it’s a novel take on the “Megaways” idea that works differently but plays just as well.
