ASGardian Rising Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Norse Gods are such a common slot theme I don’t even have to do much digging to come up with other titles that use it. Off the top of my head, I can tell you some great slots themed on ASGard, Thor, Loki, Odin, and all the rest of them. For starters, there’s the Kingdom of ASGard and Power of Thor Megaways, both from Pragmatic Play, whilst Wazdan’s Power of Gods Valhalla is another fantastic slot game in the genre. However, one of my all-time faves is Valhall Gold from Elk Studios. The simple reason I love it so much is that it can unlock up to 531,441 ways to win!
Let’s move on to the pays section in ASGardian Rising. So, from the top, the Chest symbol is the highest payer, with 5x the stake awarded for a six of a kind win. The Shield, Helmet, Horn, Coins, and Goblet follow with payouts of 4x, 3x, 2x, 1.5x, and 1.5x, respectively. The playing card symbols provide the lower payouts in the game, with the Ace and King paying up 1x for a completed line of six, whilst the Queen, Jack, and Ten all share equal pays 0.4x for a winning combo of six.
Although the demo version of ASGardian Rising has a minimum stake of €0.60 and a maximum price to play of €180, it’s more likely the real money game will have slightly different bet sizes. I’d imagine the lowest wager would be around the €0.20 mark, whilst the max stake could potentially top out around €100.
ASGardian Rising Slot Base Game & Modifiers
The ASGardian Rising slot has a primary 6×5 grid, with each reel able to hold between 2 and 5 symbols on any spin. Additionally, there is a horizontal reel above the middle four reels. That means the middle reels can hold up to 6 symbols. In short, the reels can contain up to 5-6-6-6-6-5 symbols. The more symbols, the more ways to win up to a maximum of 32,400. You must land at least 3 matching symbols on consecutive reels to create winning combinations. Of course, each combination must start on the leftmost reel and move across subsequent reels to the right.
Cascading Reels
After every win, the symbols involved in the winning combo are removed from the reels. This leaves open positions for new symbols to drop into, potentially generating additional wins from the same spin.
Wilds On The Way
As you spin the reels, you may notice some symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 have a silver frame around them. If those symbols are involved in a winning combination, on the following cascade, rather than disappear, they transform into another randomly selected regular paying symbol. The frame now upgrades to gold. If a gold-framed symbol is involved in a winning combination, it transforms into a wild symbol for the following cascade.
Multiplier Reel
The multiplier reel is the best part of the cascading reels mechanic on the ASGardian Rising slot. This reel becomes active below the reels once winning combinations involving reels 2, 3, 4, or 5 occur. If symbols on those reels are involved in a winning combination on the subsequent spins, it increases the win multiplier for those reels by 1x.
ASGardian Rising Slot Bonus Features
The main bonus round on ASGardian Rising is triggered if 4 or more golden scatter symbols land in any position on the reels. You receive 12 free spins if 4 scatter symbols trigger the bonus, with an additional 2 free spins for each extra triggering symbol.

I firmly believe that any video slot should offer something during the base game that helps to take away the monotony as players chase the main bonus game. A long run of winless base game spins becomes tedious and frustrating extremely quickly, at least for me. Fortunately, progressive multipliers and framed symbols in ASGardian Rising ensure the base game offers some entertainment.
