Game Overview

Spribe Gaming has enjoyed massive success in the crash game sphere thanks to its award-winning title Aviator, so much so that it is hard to see how they could top it with another release. I mean, crash games are simple in design and effectively the same thing. A multiplier increases until it doesn’t – with the idea being to collect that multiplier before it stops, crashes, falls, or whatever else. Well, that premise returns in Balloon, Spribe’s second crash game, which uses a balloon instead of a plane as the main focus. You heat up the balloon and hope it gains a height and multiplier you’re happy to collect. Sound interesting? Then, let’s take a closer look at what this title has to offer.

To be honest, the only real difference between Balloon and Aviator is the theme and how the mechanic of the Balloon rising works. It only increases its height and, therefore, multiplier as you hold the ‘Heat’ button. When you let go, the balloon no longer gains height. However, you have just 7 seconds to hit the button again before it automatically cashes out at the current value. Aside from that, the concept is the same. It is a test of wits and knowing when to cash out at the right time.

While you won’t win real cash, a good way to experience this game is via the Balloon demo below. It’s free to play and allows you to test it out before deciding whether to play for real money.

Let’s be honest, crash games are incredibly simple yet also extremely appealing to players who want simple casino gaming action. The games are often the same thing aside from the object used that crashes. We’ve seen planes, rockets, a balloon, and even hamsters. Yes, you read that correctly; there’s even a Crash Hamster Crash game from Mascot Gaming. OnlyPlay also uses something unique, a cricket ball that has been hit for six in Cricket Crash.

The theme in today’s review, as the title suggests, is a hot air balloon. It doesn’t crash, though, which is good news for any occupants on board, I guess. The balloon just flies away if you’ve not cashed out in time. As for the size of the multiplier wins on this game, there is no information listed about that. Could it grow indefinitely? Who knows. I never got much higher than 15x in my testing, while more often than not, the multipliers were much smaller.

In terms of the stakes you can place, the betting range on Balloon is the same as that of most other Spribe Gaming titles. That means you can bet from a minimum of €0.10 to a whopping €100.00 per game.

How to Play Balloon

Once you’ve chosen your preferred stake, all you have to do is hold down the ‘Heat’ button. The balloon floats into the sky and will eventually fly away if you do not cash out in time. To cash out, let go of the ‘Heat’ button and click ‘Take’. If the balloon flies away before you can do this, you win nothing, and the round ends.

You also have the option of letting the game run automatically for a set number of rounds. Using the autoplay feature, you can set between 3 and 500 rounds to run at your current stake. You set the multiplier you want the game to auto-collect at and any win/loss limits, and you’re good to go.

Pros

  • A high RTP of 97%.
  • The maximum win of 10,000 USD or equivalent.

Cons

  • One of many crash games you can play on the market.

Balloon Spribe Review Final Thoughts

The concept of Balloon is the same as that of Aviator, but with a different theme and presentation, so ultimately, it will come down to personal preference on which of the two you prefer to place your bets on.
