Pros
- Hot Zones can drop down, increasing the number of payways and symbols on the reels.
- Cascading reels can help drop in collector symbols if they don't land on the initial spin.
- The game features fixed jackpots, which is sure to please some players.
- It's great to see a minimum stake of €0.10, opening the game up to those with smaller budgets.
Cons
- Behind all the features, it's still another fishing collector slot at its core.
- The max win of 4,941x is a bit disappointing and I'd have expected something around the 10,000x mark from Push.
Big Bite Push Ways Slot Review Final Thoughts
Following the initial release of their Big Bite slot, Push Gaming is back and upping the ante with Big Bite Push Ways, which introduces the Hot Zone mechanic. This new engine can split reel positions, making more ways to win, and in the case of this release, players can activate up to 262,144 payways.
One aspect I liked about Big Bite Push Ways was that the cash symbols are not redundant in the base game as in many other fishing-themed slots. So, if you land the Orca symbol along with the cash values, they will be collected and credited to your balance. Of course, these are the same mechanics used in the free spins feature, but a collector meter also comes into play, with the chance to increase the size of the multiplier on the collector and win more free spins.
It's a touch disappointing that you're only awarded four extra spins each time you level up, but unlike other games in this niche, Big Bite Push Ways didn't seem to give long runs of spins without the Orca appearing, so I guess that levels out the low amount of spins awarded because the collector symbol does actually land.
Summing up, Big Bite Push Ways is one of the better additions to the oversaturated fishing-slot genre, and although the max win is left wanting a touch at 4,941x, the added mechanics and the fact you feel like you can win more than make up for it.
