Game Overview

Here’s a light-hearted take on bank robbery from software developers Booongo, stylised as B(o)ngo officially, although I am reliably informed that the correct pronunciation is indeed “booongo”. You know, guys, you could just come up with a simple name for your company that doesn’t require double-checking how you even say it out loud! Not to worry, though, as the game looks great with fantastic graphics, ten fixed paylines, a 95.94% RTP and a maximum win of 5,000x bet.

The main bonus round is a free spin feature, and the primary advantage of that feature is that you will finally be able to collect the prizes shown on the money symbols that appear in the base game. You can win between ten and fifteen free spins depending on the number of triggering symbols, and you can also extend the length of your bonus round by collecting special symbols whilst the feature is in play.

I always enjoy a jovial slot, especially one with ten fixed paylines. If that sounds like your kind of game, too, then why not fire up our free demo slot of Big Heist below and give it a few spins?

Big Heist Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Paytable For The Big Heist Slot

The bank heist – is a notorious crime often romanticised in popular culture. Robbing a bank requires such a high level of skill, planning, and dedication that when a team manages to pull it off, many can’t help but admire the crooks’ tenacity. No matter how good they may be, most bank robbers get caught in the end! You might expect the reels to be filled with shady looking characters in a game such as this, but as we mentioned previously, this is a light-hearted take on the heist theme – the main male and female character symbols look more like bank workers than bank robbers!

Let’s check out the payouts on the paytable next – our bank manager looking guy sits at the top of the table with a return of 200x your bet for a full pay line of five-of-a-kind, whilst the female bank worker lady will pay you 150x the current stake for all five of her symbols. The police officer is worth 100x for all five, followed by his sniffer dog, who is worth 50x for a complete combination of his symbols. The last of the “high-paying” symbols is a stack of gold coins and will pay you 20x for five-of-a-kind, after which you have five lower-paying royal symbols making up the bottom half of the paytable. The scatter and money symbols have no payouts of their own, and the game doesn’t look to include any wild symbols on its reels, which feels a little bit strange. The money symbol appears in stacks, but it does not appear that any of the other symbols do, sadly.

You can choose to bet from as little as €0.10 per spin up to a maximum of €30.00 per round. These feel like fairly sensible limits to me – low rollers are well catered for, although you still may need to rob a bank to play at max bet for any significant period of time!

Base Game & Modifiers

Win Up To 5,000x Your Bet Across 10 Paylines In The Big Heist Online Slot From Game Provider Booongo

The Big Heist slot game uses a standard 5×3 playfield, and with just ten fixed paylines, the developer has filled the paytable with some big winnings even for standard base game combinations. This does mean that you won’t be winning as often as you would on a game that has more pay lines, but personally, I prefer to win larger amounts less often than extremely frequent yet tiny wins!

Money Symbol

The money symbol appears on all five reels, and each one that shows up will have a random win multiplier attached to it. However, you can only collect these win multipliers during the free spins feature, so these are nothing more than regular symbols during the base game.

It’s a shame that the regular collect symbol does not appear during the base game, as it makes the money symbol kind of redundant until you hit the bonus round. I find this setup quite frustrating, and this same format seems to be appearing in more and more online slots these days.

Big Heist Slot Bonus Features

With so little going on in the base game, you’ll be hoping to hit yourself some free spins as soon as possible when playing the Big Heist online slot. Three or more scatter symbols are required to trigger the feature, and the number of free spins awarded will increase if you hit more than the minimum of three.

Three scatter symbols will award ten free spins, while four or five will grant you 12 or 15 free spins. During this mode, two new symbols are added to the reels, known as the COLLECT and SUPER COLLECT symbols. The COLLECT symbol will gather the value of all money symbols on the board. More than one COLLECT symbol can appear on a single spin, meaning you can win the value of all money symbols multiple times.

The SUPER COLLECT symbol will attract regular COLLECT symbols to the reels, increasing the number of payouts you will receive. It also acts as a regular collect symbol too. For every COLLECT and SUPER COLLECT symbol that appears during the bonus round, one step on the meter shown above the reels will be filled. After you have gathered four COLLECT symbols, you will win ten additional free spins with a 2x multiplier. The same thing will happen again after another four COLLECT symbols, this time with a 3x multiplier. If you fill the meter all the way to the end, you will win another ten spins, this time with a 10x multiplier.

I couldn’t get any further than the 2x multiplier stage whilst I was testing this game, but I can imagine the winnings at the 10x stage could be enormous. Sadly, I don’t think that many bonus rounds will end up reaching that far, but perhaps you will be luckier than I was when you play this game!

Big Heist Slot Review Final Thoughts

This is just my kind of slot – ten pay lines, big base game hits, and even bigger winnings available during the bonus round. Unfortunately, I did find it hard to progress very far during the bonus round, but I never managed to get anything more than a three-scatter trigger; it may be easier to get the meter filled up substantially on a four or five scatter bonus round. Whatever the case, this is a great fun online slot that should appeal to most players – give it a try if you can find it!
