Big Money Megaways (Blueprint) Slot Demo & Review

Dinero, spondoolies, reddies, dough and cake are just a few slang terms used for cash, and let’s face it, whatever name it goes by, we all want plenty of it stuffed into our pockets. So, it’s hardly surprising that a bit of lovely loot is a common theme amongst game providers, with Blueprint Gaming being the latest developer to coin in on this genre and bolster up their profile with another money orientated slot. This time around, we’re set to cast our eyes over Big Money Megaways, a 6-reel slot with up to 15,625 ways to win, a below average RTP of 95%, and a max win of 50,000 bet.

There’s not much to shout about regarding the base game, with the only noteworthy feature being the mystery symbols. Every time these land, all instances will transform into the same randomly selected symbol from the paytable. Thankfully, things spice up a little once the Money Spins bonus is triggered by landing three or more scatters in view. Once this round is active, players can land additional money symbols, fixed jackpots of up to 2,000x, or a Frenzy Spin symbol where the reels are stacked with more winning values and jackpots. Finally, the slot comes with two bonus buy purchase options, with both the Money Spins and the Frenzy Spins being instantly accessible at the tap of a button.

Will you rack up the cash and add a few benjamins to your wad, or are you destined to end up flat out broke? If you’d rather play it safe and have neither, then just fire up our Big Money Megaways demo slot instead. It’s free to play below.

Blueprint Gaming is somewhat of a powerhouse in both land-based amusements and online casinos, with many of their slot games proving incredibly popular with UK players. You’ll have likely heard of their iconic Fishin Frenzy slots or perhaps even spun the reels previously on our free Eye of Horus slot, another smash hit for the developer. However, what you might not know is that Blueprint was the first developer to license the Megaways engine from Big Time Gaming, which led to a flurry of releases and domination of the Megaways market in the early years. These days, their Megaways output has reduced, but we still see the odd game hit their portfolio, which is exactly what’s happening today, so let’s see what Blueprint and Big Money Megaways has in store for us and where better to begin than over at the pays section.

When a slot is based upon money, it makes sense that the symbols represent wealth in some ways, and that’s certainly the case with Big Money Megaways. At the top of the paytable and the highest value symbol in the game, we have the Diamond, worth 20x bet for a six of a kind win. Next, we have the Gold Bars valued at 12x, whilst the Wads of Cash and Piles of Coins return 8x and 5x bet, respectively. Dropping to the lower value symbols, we have the Red and Green Gems sharing returns of 3x, with the Orange, Blue and Purple Gems all having equal payouts of 2x bet for a winning combination of six.

Ending this section of our review, we come to the stakes available on Big Money Megaways, with players having the option to spin from as little as €0.10 up to a maximum of €10. There are over a dozen other bet sizes to choose from within this range, ensuring players of all budgets are catered for when it comes to real money play.

Big Money Megaways Slot Base Game

Big Money Megaways deviates from the classic Megaways formula of a 6×7 reel configuration and instead operates on a 6×5 format with up to 15,625 ways to win potentially active on any spin. Players will score themselves a win if three or more matching symbols land on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel first.

Mystery Symbols

The mystery symbol can appear on any position on the playfield, and when they hit, and reels come to a halt, all instances will be transformed into the same randomly selected symbol from the paytable.

Big Money Megaways Slot Bonus Features

Big Money Megaways Slot Bonus Feature
Big Money Megaways slot bonus feature

Players have one main bonus round that can be triggered during normal play, which is the Money Spins feature. You’ll need at least three cash symbols to land with all scatters that activate the bonus being held in place, whilst the Megaways reel size that triggered the bonus will be used through the entirety of the feature.

Money Spins

The Money Spins bonus will begin with three spins, and each time a new symbol lands in view; it will lock in place and reset your spin count back to three. These are the possible symbols that can land during the feature.

  • Money Symbol: The prize shown will be awarded.
  • Cashpot Symbol: This will award the corresponding jackpot of either 10x, 25x, 100x, or 2,000x bet.
  • Frenzy Symbol: Awards the Frenzy Spins once the Money Spins have concluded.

Frenzy Spins

During the Frenzy Spins, only Money, Cashpot, Frenzy Spins, and Pip symbols are active. These award the following:

  • Money Symbol: The prize shown will be awarded.
  • Cashpot Symbol: This will award the corresponding jackpot of either 10x, 25x, 100x, or 2,000x bet.
  • Frenzy Symbol: Will award one extra frenzy spin.

Bonus Buy

If the feature buy option is active in your jurisdiction, you can trigger the Money Spins instantly at the cost of 60x or the Frenzy Spins for the price of 100x bet.

Pros

  • Cheap buy in options for the bonus.

Cons

  • The RTP is below average.
  • It's hard to find anything entertaining about the base game.

Big Money Megaways Slot Review Final Thoughts

Usually, I enjoy playing and reviewing Blueprint slots, and previously, they have made some of the best Megaways games on the market. However, Big Money Megaways falls short of the mark, and as well as having a pretty bland base game, the bonus features offer very little entertainment, with there being far better slots out there that use a Hold & Win style feature.
