I mentioned Pragmatic Play in the introduction, as, like Blueprint, they love a fishing slot over there. The developer’s Big Bass Bonanza series of titles alone contains over 20 slots and counting. However, I’m not going to point you towards any of those in this review simply because we often recommend the best of the other titles with each Blueprint and Pragmatic fishing slot release. This time, I’m stepping away from those and towards titles from different developers. You should consider it too, as it might make a nice change. Hook Up! Fishing Wars from Evoplay is an excellent place to start, although it’s a relatively simple title, while Big Time Gaming’s Golden Catch Megaways is a good suggestion for Megaways fans.
Before I describe the bonus features on Bigger Catch Bass Fishing, let’s cast our eyes over the paytable to see if there are any payouts to bait us in. Well, three symbols share the best payout, and they are the Fisherman, Boat, and Fishing Rod, which each pay 200x the stake for five across a payline. The Dragonfly comes next and will net up to 100x, whilst the Tackle Box has a top return of 50x, and any combination of 5 of the Fish Money symbols will also pay 50x. Finally, we end with the lower pays, where the Ace and King have a top return of 10x, and the Queen, Jack, and Ten all pay up to 5x.

All symbols that triggered the bonus are carried over to a new 5×3 playing grid and are held in place for the duration of the bonus. You receive three re-spins, which reset each time another Cash or Cashpot symbol lands.
Two Fisherman symbols can also appear during the feature, and they perform the following:
- Regular Fisherman: Collects all cash values in view.
- Golden Fisherman: Multiplies the cash values on all symbols by up to 10x.
The bonus finishes after three winless re-spins or if all reel positions are filled with symbols. If the latter, you’ll receive a random total win multiplier of up to 5x, which applies to the total win from the bonus.
Free Spins Feature
This bonus is more in keeping with what you’ll find in the previous two games, as it is a free spins bonus with a progressive collection feature. The bonus triggers, giving you 10, 15, or 20 free spins once 3, 4, or 5 Bonus scatter symbols land on a base game spin.
During this feature, the Fisherman symbols will collect the values of any Fish symbols that land on the same spin. The Golden Fisherman will apply a multiplier of up to 10x to the values it collects. They’ll also act as a wild by substituting for regular paying symbols when winning combos are possible.
Furthermore, the Fishermen are collected as they land, and for every four collected, you receive an additional 5 free spins and the lowest value Fish Money symbols are upgraded.
