Bill & Coin (Relax Gaming) Slot Demo & Review

You’ve got to hand it to Relax Gaming; this developer knows how to put together cracking slot games. Today, I’m hoping I’ll review yet another. I’m confident it is, although my first glance at the slot hardly gave me a good impression. However, as I spun away, I quickly learned Bill & Coin is a deceiving-looking slot that packs quite a punch – especially in terms of bonus features. At its core, Bill & Coin is a 6-reel, 4-row, and 4,096 ways-to-win slot with a 10,000 max win and 96.10% RTP.

The base game is another reason I was initially fooled into thinking Bill & Coin is not all that. Aside from a win multiplier that increases after cascades, nothing exciting happens. That all changes once you trigger the free spins bonus only to find there are actually three to choose from. Adding to that, there are standard and super versions of each of them. I won’t spoil those bonus games here, but you’ll have a great time checking them out. Finally, if you’re playing from a region that allows you to bonus buy on a slot, you can access all of the features at the tap of a button.

Shall we find out more about what this interesting looking slot has to offer? Alternatively, if you’d rather experience the gameplay firsthand, you can utilise our Bill & Coin demo slot, which is free to play below.

Bill & Coin Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Bill & Coin Paytable

As one of the most common game themes, it is always easy to find money-related slots. Cash a Cabana from Play’n Go, for example, is a good option if you’re looking for other alternatives, as are Pragmatic Play’s Magic Money Maze and Slotmill’s Money Jar. In fact, if you check out any of the featured developers here on our site, you’ll be sure to find a stack of slot games in this genre to try out if you want to experience all it has to offer. Now, back to the task at hand, and I don’t like giving spoilers, but Bill & Coin has the potential to be the pick of the bunch in this niche, in my opinion at least, so let’s first find out just what it pays and how much you can win.

When you look at the reels, you might believe my statement in the introduction that Bill & Coin seems, at first glance, to be nothing special. I mean, you’d be forgiven for assuming this was a classic-themed slot judging by the symbols on the reels, as these are mainly traditional fruit machine symbols and playing cards. As for those symbols, you’ll find the Diamond offers the best payout of 1x the stake for a 6-symbol combination, with the Red Seven delivering up to 0.5x and the Bell paying up to 0.3x. The Cherries, Watermelon, and Grapes all pay up to 0.2x, and all playing card symbols could net you up to 0.1x for a winning combo of six. Those payouts don’t look too appealing, but on Bill & Coin, your fortune will not come from the base game – it is the bonus features that could make you rich!

The staking options available on Bill & Coin range from a minimum of €0.10 per spin to a maximum of €100.00. There are 30+ options between those stakes, so by using the plus and minus buttons to adjust them accordingly, you should be able to find a bet size that is comparable to your starting balance.

Bill & Coin Slot Base Game

Bill & Coin Base Game
Bill & Coin base game

Bill & Coin is played across a 6-reel and 4-row reel configuration that delivers 4,096 ways to win. You receive a payout whenever 3 or more matching symbols line up across successive reels starting from the first reel. The slot utilises a cascading reels feature that removes winning symbols from the reels. New symbols drop into place and can create further wins.

Win Multiplier

During the base game, there is a win multiplier that increases by 1x after every win. It can rise as high as 5x and will apply to the total win of the spin. This multiplier will reset between spins.

Bill & Coin Slot Bonus Features

Bill & Coin Bonus Feature
Bill & Coin bonus feature

This is the part of my review where you really start to see how Bill & Coins shines. There are no less than three bonus games, with standard and super versions of each to boot. You can choose which of the Coin Track, Multiplier Ladder, and Sure Win bonus features to trigger once three or more scatter symbols land anywhere in view during the base game. To choose from the super variations of each bonus game, you must land two standard scatter symbols and one Super scatter symbol.

Coin Track Feature

When this bonus starts, the standard reels are replaced with 4 reels and 3 rows with a track around them. Four coins are at the beginning of the track, and they each move forward one position after every spin. New coin symbols enter the track in the first position when no other coin is in that position. When the reels spin, it is possible to land collect symbols, enhancer symbols, or respin symbols. The round ends once a coin reaches the end of the track. The Super Bonus version of this bonus game features more instances of the enhancer and collect symbols on the reels.

The enhancer symbols that can land are:

  • Single Addition Symbols: These will have a value between +2 and +20, which is applied to a random coin on the track.
  • All Addition Symbols: This applies the addition value to all symbols on the track.
  • Single Multiplier: These will have a multiplier value of between 2x and 10x that is randomly applied to a random coin.
  • All Multiplier Symbols: This adds its multiplier value to all coins.

As for the collect symbols, these are:

  • Collect All Symbols: This will collect all the values of all coins and add them to your current win total for the bonus game.
  • Triple Collect Symbols: These collect the value of a random coin and the two adjacent to it.
  • Single Collect: This will collect the value of one random coin.
  • Persistent Collect Symbols: These are the three above symbols, but with a number displaying how many spins they remain on the reels.
  • Respin Symbols: This knocks all coins back one position, thus ensuring an extra spin.

Multiplier Ladder Feature

This is a free spins bonus with a progressive win multiplier. You start with 5 free spins and a base win multiplier of 1x. That multiplier increases by 1x between each free spin and by 1x after every winning combination. You trigger an additional 5 free spins each time you collect 5 scatter symbols. In the Super Bonus version of the Multiplier Ladder Bonus, you start with 8 free spins.

Sure Win Bonus

You again receive 5 starting free spins in the Sure Win bonus game. At the beginning of the feature, you’re granted a random Sure Win value between 0.2x and 50x the bet. You receive that Sure Win value after every spin. Each win you land on the reels is collected as normal but also added to your total Sure Win value. If you land multiple wins on a free spin, a win multiplier increases and is applied to the Sure Win value. In the Super version of this bonus game, you receive 8 free spins instead of 5.

Bonus Buy

You can purchase any standard or super versions of the above bonus games. The standard versions cost 45x your current stake, while the Super versions cost 100x.

Pros

  • A whopping three bonus games to choose from, plus their are two versions of each.
  • You can buy into any bonus games you want with a buy bonus feature.

Cons

  • The base game offers little in terms of features and payouts.

Bill &coin Slot Review Final Thoughts

In the end, maybe I got a little carried away with Bill & Coin, and those slot experts amongst you will soon realise this game is very much in the form of previous releases from the provider (in collaboration with Casino Grounds), Iron Bank and Net Gains. So, if you liked either of those two titles, you're sure to get a kick out of Bill & Coin too.
