Bison Rising Gold Strike (Blueprint) Slot Demo & Review

Sometimes, I think Blueprint Gaming has a giant wheel, which they spin to decide which animal their next slot will be themed on, judging by how many they release. If that’s the case, the Bison and Buffalo seem to land more often than most, and it’s the first of those that the latest slot I’m reviewing is themed on. Bison Rising Gold Strike is a follow-up slot to Bison Rising Megaways, and it has 6 reels and 3 rows with up to 4,096 ways to win, a 96% RTP, and a 10,000x the stake maximum win.

While Bison Rising Gold Strike is a sequel, it is completely different from the original. The only similarities are the theme and title; everything else has changed. There’s now the Gold Strike Money Collect feature in the base game and a choice of two bonus games, one of which could land a jackpot win of up to 2,500x the stake. The reel mechanics are different, too, as the original utilised Big Time Gaming’s Megaways reel modifier mechanic, while this one is a ways-to-win slot.

As the title suggests, this is another slot with the Gold Strike money collection feature, which has proven to be a hit with many online players. Blueprint first used the mechanic in Gold Strike, and then later, Gold Strike Bonanza with a Fortune Play release then following. I’m not sure if this is going to end up being a super popular franchise of games for Blueprint, but the early signs indicate that this may be the case.

As for the symbol pays, the Scatters are worth the most, with up to 500x the stake achievable when six land anywhere in view. We then have the Bison, which returns 5x for a six-symbol combo, and the Eagle and Bear, which both reward up to 2.5x. The Wolf and Elk are the remaining premium symbols, and both have a top payout of 2x the stake. The Ace and King are the first of the lower-valued symbols, both offering up to 1.5x, and they’re followed by the Queen and Jack with top returns of 1.2x, and the Ten and Nine, which pay up to 1x.

You can spin your way into the action on Bison Rising Gold Strike for as little as €0.10 a spin, with the maximum stake reaching up to €25. There’s a good range of options between these two stakes, too, so you’ll be able to find a bet size you’re happy with that is comparable to your bankroll.

Base Game & Modifiers

Bison Rising Gold Strike Slot
Bison Rising Gold Strike Slot base game

There are up to 4,096 ways to win across a 6×4 reel configuration on the Bison Rising Gold Strike slot, and winning combinations occur when two or more or three or more (depending on the symbol) matching symbols land on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel.

Gold Strike Money Collect

The Gold Strike feature returns for Blueprint’s latest slot release, and once again, it allows you to collect instant cash payouts or even one of three fixed jackpots. If a ‘Collect’ symbol lands on the first or sixth reel when there are Cash Symbols anywhere in view, those values are collected and paid. The same goes for Minor (25x), Major (250x), and Mega (2,500x) Gold Strike jackpot symbols.

Bison Rising Gold Strike slot bonus features

You can choose between two bonus games when three or more Bonus Scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels.

  • Three Scatters: Choose between 8 Wild Strike Spins ‘or’ 1 Cash Strike Spin.
  • Four Scatters: You win 20x the stake and can choose between 8 Wild Strike Spins ‘or’ 1 Cash Strike Spin.
  • Five Scatters: You win 100x the stake and can choose between 8 Wild Strike Spins ‘or’ 1 Cash Strike Spin.
  • Six Scatters: You win 500x the stake and can choose between 8 Wild Strike Spins ‘or’ 1 Cash Strike Spin.

Wild Strike Bonus

If you choose the Wild Strike Bonus, you receive 8 free spins of reels that no longer hold Cash, Jackpot, or Collect symbols. During the bonus, each wild symbol that lands is collected and added to the Wild Trail, while the Wild Multiplier also increases by 1x. That value is progressive and does not reset between spins. All wins are multiplied by the current multiplier on the Wild Trail. Finally, if 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 Bonus Scatter symbols land on a free spin, you receive an additional 4, 8, 12, 20, or 30 free spins, respectively

Cash Strike Spins

If you go for the Cash Strike Spins bonus instead, you receive an initial single spin of reels that only contain Cash, Jackpot, Collect, and Lightning Bolt symbols.

The Cash and Jackpot symbols that land on the spin will count towards a Cash Strike Trail above the reels. If you land enough Cash or Jackpot symbols, you can unlock additional spins and increase a multiplier for cash collected:

  • 9 Symbols awards 1 extra spin with a 2x multiplier
  • 10 Symbols awards 1 extra spin with a 3x multiplier
  • 11 Symbols awards 1 extra spin with a 5x multiplier
  • 12 Symbols awards 1 extra spin with a 10x multiplier

At the end of every Cash Strike Spin, all values on the reels are collected and paid.

Bonus Buy

Using the Buy Bonus button to the right of the reels, you can purchase either of the bonus games for 75x the stake.

Pros

  • You can choose from two exciting bonus games.
  • High quality build from Blueprint.

Cons

  • Regular symbol payouts feel a bit on the low side.

Bison Rising Gold Strike Slot Review Final Thoughts

I believe that Bison Rising Gold Strike is a definite upgrade on the Bison Rising Megaways, mainly because the slot gives you a lot more to chew on when playing. The Gold Strike Money Collect features keep the base game interesting, and then you have a choice of two lucrative bonus games. Throw in jackpots worth up to 2,500x the stake and a maximum win of 10,000x the stake, and it seems Blueprint has come up with a winner this time around.
