Blood & Shadow 2 (Nolimit City) Slot Demo & Review

The theme of Blood & Shadow 2 is more of the same, as you’d imagine, considering it’s a sequel to Blood & Shadow. Both games delve into a dark and gritty occult world, and once again, the graphics and soundtrack are done to the highest quality. If you enjoy horror-themed slots, you won’t find many that create as spooky an atmosphere as either of these slots.  In my opinion, only Hacksaw Gaming gets close with releases like Dark Summoning and Cursed Crypt, with both those titles well worth a look if you’re after some scary slot action over the Halloween season. 

As for the symbols and payouts, they are similar, if a fraction lower than what they were on the original Blood & Shadow slot. The Wild, which only pays out for a five-symbol combination, is worth 5x the stake. That’s the same payout that’s awarded to five of the Vampire Woman Characters in a row, while the Werewolf returns up to 4.5x, the Baphomet is worth up to 4x, the Snake Demon can reward up to 3x, and the Crow-like Creature returns a maximum of 2x. As for the medium pays, these are the Skeleton, Wolf, Goat, Snake, and Crow that return up to 1.2x, 1.1x, 0.9x, 0.7x, and 0.6x, respectively. The low pays are different Occult-like symbols paying up to 0.4x, 0.3x, 0.25x, 0.2x, and 0.15x for five-symbol combos. 

As for the betting range, low rollers can spin for as low as €0.20 per spin, while there are 25 betting options up to a maximum wager supported of €100.00. 

Nolimit’s Blood and Shadow 2 slot utilises a 5×5 reel configuration, although the bottom row is initially locked. Winning combinations are formed when three or more matching symbols land on consecutive reels from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. 

All winning symbols are removed from the reels, and more tumble down from the top. This cascading mechanic can lead to additional wins forming and the process repeating. 

Ritua Bar

The Ritual Bar, from the original returns, and again, it has five levels of progression that reset between spins. Located below the reels, the Ritual bar increases by 2 points for every high-paying symbol in a winning combination and 1 point for every medium-paying symbol. Scatter symbols also increase the bar by 10 points each time they land. 

The levels and required points are as follows:

• Level 1: 20 Points
• Level 2: 30 Points
• Level 3: 40 Points
• Level 4: 60 Points
• Level 5: 80 Points

Unlocking each level unlocks one position on the locked bottom row, starting from left to right, with each initially containing a wild symbol. Each unlock also removes the lowest-paying symbol from the reels and also converts medium symbols to high-paying symbols.

Candle Spins

Each unlock up until level 4 also rewards 2 Candle Spins. All unlocked reel positions are given re-spins. Unlocking level 5 will reward the Reign of Terror free spins bonus game. 

Sticky Wilds

Sticky Wilds can appear anywhere on the reels and remain in place until they contribute to a winning combination. 

xSplit Symbols

Two different xSplit symbols can appear on the reels of Blood & Shadow 2:

• Dagger xSplit: This symbol will split all symbols on its row.
• Guillotine xSplit: This splits all symbols below it on its reel. 

Each initial split will add a 2x win multiplier to the split symbols by 2x up to a maximum of 32x. Once they have performed their splitting action, Daggers and Guillotines become wild symbols with a multiplier value that is the same as the number of symbols on their reel.
