However, it’s a different kind of bounty we’re after, as rather than hunting outlaws in return for cash, we’re hunting down symbol combinations and their payouts. The Bonus Hunter is a 5×4 slot with 1,024 ways to win, a 96.97% RTP, and a maximum win of 2,000x the stake.
Jili Games has used various framed symbol features in previous releases, and they’re back again in Bonus Hunter. This time, symbols with a frame around them will turn into wild symbols when they’re involved in winning combinations. They’re followed by the Cowboy Hat, which can land you up to 40x, the Cowboy Boots at 30x, and the Whiskey Flask offering up to 15x. The Ace and King pay up to 12x, the Queen is worth 10x for a line of five, and the Jack and Ten round out the lower value symbols, returning a maximum of 6x.

Bonus Hunter is a 1,024 way-to-win slot game with five reels and four rows, and you’ll need to land three or more matching symbols on consecutive reels from left to right for a win to be awarded.
Symbol Cascades
The Bonus Hunter slot has a cascade feature that removes winning symbols so more can drop into the action. When this happens, other winning combos may be created, repeating the process.
Framed Symbols & Wilds
Symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4 can appear with gold frames around them, and if they’re part of a winning combination, they’ll transform into wild symbols as part of the next cascade.
Bonus Hunter Slot Bonus Features
Scatter symbols can appear on each reel, but no more than one can appear on a reel at a time. When three or more land across the reels as a result of a spin, you’ll trigger the Bonus Hunter free spins bonus game.
Free Spins Feature
You’ll receive 10 free spins for three triggering scatter symbols and an extra two for each additional scatter symbol that landed on the triggering spin. You can re-trigger the free spins bonus from within the feature too.
During the bonus, all symbols that land on reel 3 will have golden frames, while it’s still possible for them to appear on the second and fourth reels. After each symbol combination, a global multiplier increases by 1x. That multiplier will not reset between spins and will apply to all future wins from the free spins.
Bonus Buy
Jili Games has gone about the buy bonus a bit differently on this slot. Rather than allowing you to buy the free spins bonus outright, you can customise how many free spins you want to purchase. You can buy a single spin, 5 or 10, or as many as you like, up to thousands (I stopped clicking the + button at 1,001 as my poor fingers were aching, having clicked a thousand times already). The spins cost 48.5x your current stake each, which is very expensive, in my opinion.
Pros
- The Ascent feature is different, if not all that exciting.
- I can’t scoff at a 97% RTP.
Cons
- The main bonus feature lacks any real bite.
Bonus Hunter Slot Review Final Thoughts
The Bonus Hunter slot has a decent mix of bonus features, but even so, it's not among my favourite Jili Games slots. It feels a bit similar to other releases, especially the framed symbols, which the developer has used a lot previously.
