Pros
- Multiple features can trigger in the base game, including random wilds added to the reels and symbol upgrades.
- There are several enhanced betting options and loot boxes to buy for those who like to play with more risk.
- Although seen before, the theme is edgy and more adult-based.
- Good max win and RTP combo.
Cons
- Some may draw a comparison to the NLC release that has a similar theme.
- If the loot boxes and bonus buys are not allowed in your jurisdiction, it will take something away from the gameplay.
Brainwashed Slot Review Final Thoughts
It only seems like five minutes ago that we were getting excited over Shady Lady's debut release, Devil's Finger, and now the relatively unknown provider is treating us to a new title in the form of Brainwashed. Having already used a very edgy theme in that first game, the studio has opted to stick with this tactic in Brainwashed, which is likely going to be something we see more of from Shady Lady and is bound to draw comparisons to industry giants Nolimit City who have carved out huge success with more adult-themed online slots.
So, what about Brainwashed? Players are sure to think of Nolimit's True Kult slot, and whilst they do share a similar subject matter, that's about it. As for the gameplay, we're again treated to a mountain of modifiers, bonuses and enhanced buy options, so there's a lot to get stuck into and enjoy, with the free spins round being the icing on the cake, where brain collectors can rack up huge multiplier prizes to award wins up to a maximum of 20,000x.
To conclude, after such a well-received first slot release, it was going to be a difficult task to follow it up with something that matched Devil's Finger or, indeed, went on to surpass it. Some of you may feel Brainwashed does just not, but in our opinion, whilst still a good game, it's not quite on the level of their debut game. Let's wait and see what they come up with next.
