Game Overview
The 1990s were a great time to be in your late teens. Live bands still played instruments, with Britpop being in its prime, the cost of a pint was as cheap as chips, and the mobile phone previously the size of a suitcase and only available for those with a few more quid in their pockets became accessible for pretty much everybody. But, like the best brand of trainers or clothing, which model you had defined your social status and getting labelled as having a brick for a mobile didn’t do your street cred any good at all. Whether that’s where the inspiration for the name came from in the Nolimit City slot Brick Snake 2000, I’d guess it’s likely the case, but for the second part, I’m pretty sure we all remember the iconic snake game baked into all Nokia devices. As for some stats on this latest slot, we have a 5-reel game with 3,125 ways to win, an RTP of 96.03%, and a maximum win of 16,220x the bet.
Nolimit slot releases can often seem a little daunting to begin with as the developer is renowned for piling in the features and complicated looking mechanics, but at first glance, Brick Snake 2000 doesn’t look to be super complex. We have xWays present in the base game that can reveal more paying symbols, a moving snek wild that can transform up to 5 positions into wilds, and the xBet option guaranteeing at least one scatter hits on every spin. As for the main bonus rounds, we have the snek spins and super snek spins, which see the legendary snake come to life on your screen, hungry to gobble up multipliers, but needing to be weary of the slayer symbol that will stop the feature dead in its tracks. The game comes with the usual Nolimit bonus buy options, and this time, we not only see the reappearance of the God Mode from the Nine to Five slot, but we’re introduced to the God Mode Deluxe, too, which we’ll have more on later.
I don’t know about you, but the 1990s sure felt like a much easier time. If you want to relive those glory years and reminisce about your youth, why not fire up our Brick Snake 2000 demo slot and enjoy a blast from the past. It’s free to play below.
Brick Snake 2000 Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I was pleased to see Nolimit City go retro once again with the theme in Brick Snake 2000 as I really enjoyed the overall look and feel of Nine to Five, and although there are stacks of other slot games out there that have been produced within this niche, it’s always better when one of the industry leaders turns their hand to it and utilises their pool of talent. If you’d like to try out a couple more releases that take you back to simpler times, then it’s worth looking at our Retro Tapes demo and Retro Sweets demo, both games created by Push Gaming.
The next step in our slot review takes us over to the pays section, and at the top of the paytable, we have the Man with Glasses, who will return 2x the bet for a five of a kind win. Next comes the Cat at 1x, followed by the Dog at 0.8x, with the Alien Character rounding off the premium value symbols with a payout of 0.7x for a completed line of five. Dropping to the low pays, there’s the Cyber Pet worth 0.4x, a CD at 0.35x, a Drill at 0.3x, and finally, the Sim Card returning 0.25x if five match across a payline.
Real money players are presented with a good selection of bets on Brick Snake 2000, and Nolimit City has ensured all of their fans can enjoy this game regardless of their bankroll and budget. To get the reels spinning, punters can choose stakes from a minimum of €0.20 up to a maximum of €280, although you may find the upper limit is capped at a lesser value at some online casinos.
Brick Snake 2000 Slot Base Game & Modifiers
Brick Snake 2000 is played on a 5×5 reel matrix where players have 3,125 win ways to create paying combinations. A win will be awarded and credited to your balance if three or more matching symbols land on adjacent reels beginning from the leftmost reel first.
Xways
In the base game, the xWays symbol can land on any reel and reveal a random symbol with a multiplier ranging from 2x to 8110x. If more than one xWays symbol appears, they will all change to the same symbol.
Moving Wild Snek
The Wild Snek symbol can appear on any reel position in the base game, and when it lands, it will always move between 1-5 steps, except backwards, and transform all those positions into wilds. When the Wild Snek moves onto a revealed xWays symbol, that position will have the wild symbol of the xWays revealed prize.
Max Win Coins
If a Max Coin lands on reel one and a Win Coin lands on reel five on the same row, the standard jackpot of 8,110x the bet will be awarded.
Xbet
At the extra cost of 5% on top of the original stake, players can activate the xBet feature, which guarantees that a scatter symbol will land on the 2nd reel on every spin.
Brick Snake 2000 Slot Bonus Features
There are two variations of the free spins feature that can be triggered. The Snek Spins are awarded when 3 or 4 activate the bonus, and the Super Snek Spins are awarded when 5 scatters land in view during the base game.
Snek Spins
Landing 3 or 4 scatter symbols in view triggers the Snek Spins, with the 3rd and 4th scatter converting into Snek Symbols. During the feature, the Snek can move in any direction except backwards, and if multiple Sneks are present on the playfield, the oldest will move first. The Snek will keep moving until it eats itself or eats a Slayer Symbol and dies, and when all Sneks have perished, the bonus will end. Whilst the bonus is active, the following symbols can appear on the reels.
- Coins: Default coin values range from 1x – 100x. When a Snek eats a coin, it’s added to the current win.
- Multiplier: The multiplier values are 1x, 5x, and 10x. If a Snek eats a multiplier, the coin multiplier is increased and applied to the default coin values.
- Egg: If a Snek eats an egg, a new Snek will enter the playfield with a maximum of three being in play at any time.
- Slayer: The Slayer symbols are sticky, and up to four can be active at once. If a Snek eats a Slayer, the Snek will die.
- Up: When a Snek eats an uPGrade symbol, the bonus will be uPGraded to the Super Snek Spins after the existing round is completed.
- Max Win: If Snek eats the max win coin, then 8,110x the bet will be awarded. However, if the coin is not eaten after four steps, it will disappear.
Super Snek Spins
If all five scatters land in view, the Super Snek spins are triggered. This bonus plays out the same as the Snek Spins, but a new Collector 2000 symbol is now also in play, which adds the sum of all visible coins to its current value at the beginning of each spin.
If a Snek eats the Collector 2000 symbol, the value of the symbol is added to the coin value counter and the current value of the X Multiplier is then applied to the Collector 2000. If the Collector 2000 symbol is not consumed within four steps, it will vanish but is always guaranteed to return on the next spin.
Bonus Buy
There are multiple bonus buy options available on Brick Snake 2000, which are as follows:
- Snek Spins: 3 scatter trigger at the cost of 50x the bet.
- Snek Spins: 4 scatter trigger at the cost of 100x the bet.
- Super Snek Spins: 5 Scatter trigger at the cost of 360x bet.
- Lucky Draw: A random feature is awarded for the cost of 96x bet.
- God Mode: One spin at landing the max and win coins on reels 1 and 5 for the price of 1,689x the bet.
- God Mode Deluxe: Buy the max win for 8,360x the bet and risk it all on a double or nothing gamble.
