As the title of the slot alludes to, this PG Soft release features the base theme of candy and other sweet treats. It’s quite a common theme to have been used in online slots, as it happens. Various other developers have taken advantage of it as a theme, and one of our favourite releases in this genre is Sweet Bonanza by Pragmatic Play. Within the Candy Burst slot, you will find that the theme has been nicely executed as well, with candies able to be seen in the background, albeit in a blurred way. These won’t be seen if you’re playing via a mobile device though, as the layout has been tailored for smartphones and tablets primarily. PG Soft has added a funky piece of music to the game as well, just to give it a bit more of an edge.

On the reels, you will see various candy-shaped symbols to form wins with. The first four of these are present in the shape of the blue sugar-coated and green sugar-coated jellies. Then come the yellow and the pink boiled fruit sweets. Together, these create the slot’s lower paying symbol additions. What could definitely be a mint-flavoured treat comes next, while a yellow and white-striped addition is also active on the reels. You’ll also see a red and white-striped heart-shaped candy. Base Game & Modifiers

The base game of this slot is made up of a grid featuring a 6×6 layout. And while it would be normal for a game to have paylines across its interface, Candy Burst does not. This is because wins are created by clustering symbols together. To do this, at least four of the same symbols need to be present and touching one another horizontally and/or vertically.

Cascades

For every winning combination that you form, the cascading reels will come into effect. This sees the symbols included in the wins explode and disappear from the grid, allowing new ones to fall down from the top and into the spaces. Additional winning combinations forming at this point will then go through the same process, and this repeats until no further wins can be created.

Special Symbols

Should there be a combination of five symbols touching to form a cluster, then a Gummy Rocket is awarded. If six of them form a cluster, then a Chocolate Bomb is awarded to you. And seven or more symbols in a cluster reward you with a Mystery Sweet. In all cases, those special symbols are placed in random positions. During a round with no winning combination, a single special symbol will be activated. These operate in the following ways:

Gummy Rocket – All symbols on the row or column where the Gummy Rocket is will explode and pay out.

Chocolate Bomb – All symbols surrounding the Chocolate Bomb will explode and pay out.

Mystery Sweet – A symbol is randomly chosen and all instances of it will explode and pay out.

Gummy Rocket + Gummy Rocket – If you see two Gummy Rockets on the reels and they are touching horizontally or vertically, they are activated together. All symbols on the row, column and diagonal reels will then explode and pay out.

Gummy Rocket + Chocolate Bomb – A single rocket and a single bomb touching are activated together, resulting in all symbols on the three rows or columns where the combination is positioned exploding and paying out.

Gummy Rocket + Mystery Sweet – A single rocket and a single mystery sweet touching will see a symbol randomly chosen and all instances of it explode and pay out. All symbols on the row and column where the combination is positioned will also explode and pay out.

Chocolate Bomb + Chocolate Bomb – Two bombs will explode all symbols in a 5×5 zone around them and these then pay out.

Chocolate Bomb + Mystery Sweet – A single bomb and a single mystery sweet see a symbol randomly chosen and all instances of such explode and pay out. All symbols surrounding the combination in the shape of a diamond will also explode and pay out.

Mystery Sweet + Mystery Sweet – Two sweets will select three random symbols, and all instances of such will explode and pay out.

Candy Burst Feature

Three or more special symbols touching will activate, and this sees all symbols on the reels explode and pay out. Wins are then multiplied by 2x.

Candy Burst Slot Free Spins Feature

Three of the slot’s scatter symbols will trigger the free spins round. These can appear anywhere and then 10 free spins will be granted. Each additional scatter beyond the initial three will give you two more free spins. All wins are doubled in this round and Candy Burst feature wins are multiplied by 10x.
