Let’s kick things off with the paytable, and the highest paying symbol is the captain, who will return 125x for a five of a kind win. He is followed by the hook, which will pay 50x if five land successfully on a payline. Wrapping up the premium paying symbols is the compass worth 25x for a full payline of five, and finally, the bottle of rum, which will award you 10x bet for a completed payline. There are just three lower-value royal symbols in the game, which are the A, K, and Q. These will pay 5x, 3.75x and 2.5x, respectively, for a five of a kind win. The format of the slot is pretty standard for a 20 payline game, with there being five reels, each of which contains three rows of symbols. Therefore, creating a win across this configuration will require you to land a minimum of 3 matching symbols beginning from the leftmost first, and of course, these will need to be on one of the active paylines.
Cascading Reels
Every time you form a winning combination, you will see the symbols included in such explode and disappear. This will see the reels cascade, dropping new symbols into the gaps left behind. Should additional wins form, then the cascades repeat, and this will continue until no further wins can be created.
Win Multiplier
During any of the base game spins, all the wins you form will have the multiplier applied to them, shown on the captain’s wheel at the top of the reels. This starts at 1x and then increases to 2x after the first reel cascade. Hit another win in the same series, and it will increase this to 3x, and then from the fourth cascade onwards, the multiplier will be 5x.

The final feature of Captain’s Bounty is the free spins round. This is activated whenever three or more parrot scatter symbols come into view. These can appear anywhere, and you’ll be awarded 10 free spins if three of them land upon the reels. Free Spins
During free spins, the multipliers on the captain’s wheel will be increased to 3x, 6x, 9x and 15x, respectively. If you are lucky enough to reach the highest multiplier, this offers a bit of hope of hitting something substantial and can put you in with a chance of getting that max win of 30,000x bet. The free spins can also be retriggered if three or more scatters again appear in view, although during my testing of the game, I didn’t achieve a single one.

I’ve played several slots in the past that offer a similar feature set to Captain’s Bounty, with NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest likely being the game you’d recognise the most. This takes nothing away from the slot though, and I did enjoy my time reviewing the game, even if I didn’t hit any wins worthy of mentioning.
