Game Overview
The battle between cops and robbers is almost as old as time itself – a typical tale of good vs evil, the righteous fighting the greedy, and the law against the lawless. Or at least, that’s what they tell us – in reality, the best stories involving robbers tend to bring a sense of respect in many of us. I’m not talking about the violent kind, obviously – anybody who hurts another person will always be despised by those with a somewhat normal sense of morality. When it comes to a pack of pensioners managing to drill into a bank vault over a bank holiday weekend, however, well, that’s different. Anyway, Inspired Gaming’s title Cops’n’Robbers Big Money, features ten paylines, a 94.99% RTP, and a top win capped at a cash value of €250,000.
Inspired has included a bunch of special features in Cops & Robbers Big Money, ensuring that the game doesn’t become boring or monotonous too quickly. There are several wild symbols, some of which appear in all game modes, while others will only appear during the Big Money features. You can opt to play the game using an alternative reel set too, labelled “Fortune Spins”, which is an unusual but interesting inclusion. Then there are the three “big money” bonus features, which, despite having different names, are all essentially the same, with the exception of the multiplier that is applied to your winnings.
Which side are you on? Are you with the cops? Or are you… quick, get him! He’s a grass! Time to run and play our free demo slot of Cops’n’Robbers Big Money, I think.
Cops ‘n’ Robbers Big Money Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The Cops’n’Robbers games have quickly become Inspired’s star franchise. Thankfully, slots are not like movies, so you don’t need to get caught up on the many previous games to enjoy this one to the fullest! That being said, it may be worth having a quick look back at some of the earlier games if you enjoy playing this one – why not start with Blueprint Gaming’s Cop the Lot slot or Cops’n’Robbers Megaways? It looks a lot like this machine with the same cartoon-like characters and light-hearted feel but adds in all of the perks we have come to associate with the high-paying Megaways payout mechanic. Once you are finished there, you may also be interested in checking out a few heist-themed games by other developers: I’d recommend 60 Second Heist if you have a minute.
Over to the paytable next, and I’m pleased to say that there are plenty of big hits to be found here! At the top of the list, we have the wilds and the Cops’n’Robbers logo symbol, all of which will pay you 200x your bet for a full payline of five of a kind. Next, the flashing blue light will pay you 100x your stake for all five symbols, whilst the stack of cash and the police car are each worth 50x for a completed payline. Finally, for the high-paying symbols, we have the swag bags, paying 20x your bet for any mixed combination of five of a kind. Jumping down to the lower values, we find that these are represented by the royal symbols 10, J, Q, K, and Ace, with all of these paying 10x the bet for a five of a kind win.
Finishing off this section, we have the betting range on Cops ‘n’ Robbers Big Money. You can start spinning the reels from as little as €0.20 per play at the low end or as much as €80.00 if you enjoy a little more risk-to-reward when you play.
Cops N’ Robbers Slot Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Cops’n’Robbers utilises a standard 5×3 playfield. There are just ten fixed paylines spanning the reels, meaning that wins will not occur with great frequency, but you can at least look forward to hitting something relatively decent whenever the five of a kind combinations do come around.
Wild Symbols
There are two different robber wilds, one represented by a robber behind bars, whilst the other shows our friend walking off with a big bag of loot over his shoulder. Both of these symbols appear in both the base game and during free spins.
The cop wild, meanwhile, will only appear during the various Big Money bonus rounds. There is no difference between any of these wilds for practical purposes, and any combination of them can be used to make up a five of a kind win.
Fortune Spins
This is an unusual one; hitting the fortune spins button on the left of the main reel set will transform the game’s symbols into a completely different set, effectively creating a second base game.
The “fortune spins” base game reels feature only swag bags, bonus symbols, and robbers. Each swag bag has a cash prize attached to it, which the robber will collect if he appears on the current spin. If the robber does not appear, you will need to hit at least three or more swag bags starting from the left to win a prize.
The real point of this mode is that the bonus round is triggered much more frequently than during the normal game, but this comes at a price – you cannot win anywhere near as much from regular line hits. In this way, I guess you may consider the fortune spins mode a bonus bet of sorts.
Pie Gamble
I have to give the developers of Cops & Robbers Big Money some props for including the Pie Gamble in this game, as it is my favourite type of gamble and does not show up in anywhere near enough games, in my opinion!
The pie gamble has a return percentage of 100% – there is no house edge here. You have two wheels allowing you to gamble for more money or trade your winnings for a chance at a bonus round. You can also increase or decrease the amount you are gambling for, which has a corresponding effect on the size of the red and green areas of the pie. Hit a red area, and all your winnings will be lost.
Cops ‘n’ Robbers Big Money Slot Bonus Features
Bonus symbols appear on all five reels during the base game, and whilst they do not have a cash value associated with them, they do act as scatter symbols that will trigger one of three different big money modes.
Big Money Bonus
Hitting three bonus scatters will trigger the regular “big money” feature, which does not come with a starting multiplier. Four scatters, meanwhile, will trigger the “super” big money feature with a 2x starting multiplier. Finally, the maximum five-scatter trigger will reward you with the “mega” big money feature, which has a 3x starting multiplier.
A progressive trail will be added to the top of the reels in all big money modes before the bonus round begins. This trail includes multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, 6x, 8x, and 10x, and you can progress along the trail by collecting robber symbols whilst you play.
Watch out, however, as the cop is right on your heels! Each time a cop symbol lands on the reels, he will also progress along the trail. Thankfully, the game includes two different robber symbols and only one cop, but despite this, he will always catch up with you in the end!
If the cop does manage to catch you, then the game will take you to an ID Parade. If you are correctly identified, the bonus will end, but you will still get to keep any accumulated winnings. Alternatively, the bonus may continue with the cop being pushed back or your own character being pushed forward to the next multiplier along the trail.
Pros
- The iconic money trail bonus is heaps of fun to play.
- Great max win of 10,000x, which any bank robber would be happy to win.
Cons
- Low RTP of just 94.99%.
Cops N Robbers Big Money Slot Review Final Thoughts
This is another solid entry in the Cops’n’Robbers franchise, and in fact, I think this is probably one of my favourites out of the bunch so far! I don’t mind waiting a little longer for a larger win to come my way, so ten payline games suit me very well. I’m sure some will prefer the Megaways incarnation of the franchise, but for me, Big Money is where it’s at!
