Crabbin Crazy 2 Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
All jokes aside, I really don’t mind what slot developers choose to base their games around as long as there are some fresh ideas and big wins in the mix, and Crabbin’ Crazy 2 looks like it’s going to satisfy both of those requirements. If you don’t remember the original Crabbin’ Crazy online slot, it was released roughly a year ago but didn’t make much of a splash at the time. That’s a shame too, as it was a great game that just ended up becoming overshadowed by the seemingly endless flood of Fishin’ Frenzy and Big Bass Bonanza slots. I hope that players will give iSoftBet a little bit more support this time, as this release has had a lot more effort put into it than half a dozen variants of the more well-known fishing slot franchises.
The highest-paying symbol in this game is Captain Birdseye – well, I assume that’s who it is; it sure looks like him! – with a payout of 25x the total bet for a full payline of five of a kind. Oh, he also happens to be wild too, or so I’ve heard! Next, the fishing boat will pay you 20x your total stake for all five symbols, followed by a pair of claws at 15x and a fishing rod at 10x. The final high-paying spot goes to a rather happy-looking shrimp – he obviously doesn’t know what’s coming, poor fella – with a payout of 7.5x for a complete payline. The low pays are divided into two groups, with the aces and kings returning 5x and the queens and jacks paying 2.5x for a five-of-a-kind winning combination.
There are only eight stake options available in this game, with minimum/maximum permitted wagers of €0.20 and €20.00 per spin, respectively. That’s nowhere near enough, in my opinion, but this is becoming an extremely common issue in modern online slots.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Crabbin’ Crazy 2 looks almost identical to the first game and features the same standard 5×3 video slot layout. There are five fewer pay lines this time around, for a total of 20, and all of these are required to be played on every spin. All winning combinations require at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left.
Mystery Crates
These tackle box symbols act as typical mystery symbols, meaning that all of them will transform into a single symbol chosen randomly from the paytable at the end of each spin.
Taxi Crab
On any losing base game spin, a taxi crab may appear to award either a bonus round or a big win.
Pick A Bucket Modifier
At the start of any base game spin, the fisherman may appear to offer you a choice of three buckets. There are five possible outcomes, as follows.
- Mystery Crate: Several mystery crates (see above) are added to the reels.
- Synced Reels: Two or more reels will be linked together, forcing them to land on the same symbols during the next game round.
- Catch of the Day: A winning combination is guaranteed to land on the next spin. After this, a free re-spin will be awarded where the winning combination is locked in place. During the re-spin, any symbols that match the winning combination will also become locked, and the process will repeat until no more winning symbols appear.
- Colossal Cash: A 3×3 colossal symbol will be added to the reels.
- Crazy Crabbin’: The fisherman symbol is guaranteed to land on reel one, and any crabs which land on the remaining reels will therefore be certain to pay out.
Crabbin’ License
Enabling this option will increase the price per spin by 25% in return for one additional spin during the re-spins feature. Paytable wins are not affected by this facility.
Crabbin Crazy 2 Slot Bonus Features
The main bonus round of Crabbin’ Crazy 2 is a three-spin feature triggered whenever five or more crab symbols land on a single spin. If the Crabbin’ License Bonus Bet is enabled, the feature will start with four lives on your counter instead of three.
Crabbin’ Bonanza Feature
Each spin played during this feature will use one life, and the feature will end if you have no lives remaining. Landing a crab symbol anywhere in view during the bonus game will restore your lives to the original count of three/four.
If a Super Crab symbol lands, it will double the prize awarded by all other visible crabs and grant an additional 10x, 25x, or 50x.
When the fisherman lands in view during the bonus round, he will collect the value of all visible crabs and remove them from the reels. This will create plenty of additional space for more crabs to land.
Bonus Buy Feature
The bonus buy menu allows you to purchase three of the previously described features at the following prices:
- Euphoria Spin: 30x Current Bet
- Standard Free Spins: 100x Current Bet
- Super Free Spins: 300x Current Bet
Without knowing exactly what effect the super spins have on your odds of winning a big prize, it’s tough to make any recommendations as to whether they are worth the extra money. As a result, I would recommend caution before splashing out on the super bonus in this game – my results seemed just as good in the normal free spins!
Crabbin Crazy 2 Slot Review Final Thoughts
Playing Crabbin’ Crazy 2 feels like a mishmash of a whole bunch of recent games all rolled into one. But, funnily enough, the top jackpot of 40,000x might also be equal to the combined top prizes from those machines as well! I’d say that fact alone makes this machine more than deserving of a solid recommendation.
