Cricket CrashCricket CrashSlot Demo & Review

One of the issues with crash games, from my point of view, is that they are all so similar – it’s honestly difficult to find a single one that really stands out from the crowd… until now, that is! OnlyPlay has delivered something of a treat here for fans of crash games by doing away with the same old aeroplane analogy they all seem to use and replacing it with Cricket! That’s the sport cricket, by the way – there’s no bug-squashing going on here, although maybe that’s another neat crash game idea? Maybe. The RTP of 95% offered in Cricket Crash is not the best you’ll find in the genre, but it’s acceptable, especially when you factor in that this game also offers a progressive jackpot – another rarity in the crash game world.

That jackpot – dubbed the Maharaja prize – is quite a treat too, as it currently stands at close to 43 thousand US dollars. The prize drops at random, and when it does, it will be shared amongst all of the players participating in the current round – a lot like a bingo game. Your share of the jackpot is directly proportional to your share of the betting pool, so just like when playing progressive jackpot slots, it may be worth betting a little more than you would usually when the jackpot reaches a significant sum. There are three wormholes that the ball can travel through as well – when this occurs, either 10%, 20%, or 50% will be added to the current multiplier value.

Have you grown tired of the same old crash games and fancy trying something a little bit different? If so, you really can’t go wrong with our Cricket Crash demo – it’s about as different as you could hope for and available to play below.

OnlyPlay’s Cricket Crash

We’ve looked at a few previous crash games here at Demoslot – titles such as FlyX and Aviator are well-known amongst fans of simple gambling games, but they are both incredibly similar. It seems to have taken an inordinately long time for developers to begin adding new features to their crash games; the reasons for this aren’t clear, but I’d speculate that there was probably enough traffic on early crypto-based gambling sites from people who didn’t know what else to do with the virtual cash to convince developers to just keep on cloning the titles which were already working well! The Cricket theme used in Cricket Crash is a big enough change all by itself, but the addition of the special features and the progressive jackpot truly does make the game a great new addition to the crash game genre.

Crash games don’t require a paytable, so there’s nothing like that to discuss here – all you get is a single prize that starts at 1x the total bet and increases gradually until the end of the round when the game will suddenly end, causing all players to lose their bets if they have not already cashed out. Onlyplay has done its best to spice things up, though, with the wormholes or portals, which can add 10%, 20%, or even 50% to the current “multiplier coefficient”, as the developer calls it on their webpage! Sounds technical, guys; I like it!

I was a little surprised to find that the minimum bet available in Cricket Crash was a full dollar – there’s no reason not to allow you to bet less in a game such as this. Still, I think most players can handle a dollar, and that’s before you factor in that many cryptocurrencies that this game supports are only worth a fraction of a cent anyway. The maximum bet allowed is 50 USD, although you can bet twice per round if you wish.

Base Game & Modifiers

Cricket Crash Gameplay

Although Cricket Crash does not use the old aeroplane analogy as its graphical backdrop, it still plays out much like any other crash game. The difference here is that each round is preceded by a graphic of a cricket player focused on the ball – there’s a nice touch in that if a round finishes immediately (where all players lose their bet), then the batter fails to hit the ball – this makes much more sense than an aeroplane blowing up on the tarmac!

Portals

There are four portals available in Cricket Crash in total – each portal has a different value associated with it, either 10%, 20%, or 50%. The current multiplier value will be boosted by that amount whenever the ball passes through the corresponding portal. And the fourth portal, I hear you ask? Ah, read on.

Cricket Crash Bonus Features

Whilst there are no specific bonus features to be triggered, you can win yourself a massive jackpot. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Progressive Jackpot

The Maharaja Reward is a progressive jackpot awarded when the ball passes through the jackpot portal. Watch out though, if you have already cashed out your prize, you will not be eligible for a share of the prize fund! I can only imagine the heartbreak of someone who has just hit the cashout button and taken 10x their stake when the progressive jackpot portal appears on screen, but I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes!

Pros

  • A brand-new theme for a crash game – who’d have thought it?
  • The progressive jackpot more than makes up for a slightly lower RTP.
  • Portals add a bit of variety to the game – just watch out for the ball exploding right as it comes through the other side!

Cons

  • It is still only a crash game – don’t expect it to entertain you long-term.

Final Thoughts

Crash games have been crying out for a facelift like this for a while now, and I think Onlyplay did a great job here with Cricket Crash. Even if you’re not a fan of the sport, this is a fun simple gambling game that is a great way of just boosting the value of your bankroll slightly. Provided the ball doesn’t explode on you!
