Crocodile Blitz Xtreme Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
When I think of the Blitz range of slots, the first one that always springs to mind is Buffalo Blitz. That game was one of the first machines I remember reviewing when I first started writing here at Demoslot, and I distinctly remember thinking at the time that it was a pretty shameless copy of Raging Rhino. That was a long time ago, so it’s a little surprising that Playtech is still using almost the same visual style for this latest addition to their Blitz franchise. I don’t recall any of the earlier Blitz games, including progressive jackpots, which may explain why this game has the word ‘Xtreme’ tacked onto the logo above the reels.
The crocodile is the highest-paying symbol on the paytable, but it’s only worth 7.5x the total bet for a full payway of six of a kind. The symbols are stacked on the reels, however, making it much more likely for you to win on many of them simultaneously. There’s a hippo and a bull which both pay 6.25x your stake for all six symbols, whilst the zebra and giraffe are a little less generous at 5x each. That just leaves the low-paying royals divided into three groups; six aces or kings will pay you 3.75x your bet, six queens or jacks offer 3x, and the nines and tens offer the lowest prizes at 2.5x the current stake each.
The minimum/maximum betting limits available in Crocodile Blitz have been set at €0.20 and €90.00, respectively, and a reasonably fair number of other wagers are allowed between the two extremes. As this is a progressive jackpot slot, it’s sometimes worth betting a little more than you might when playing a regular video slot. That’s because your odds of triggering a jackpot are directly linked to the size of your bet – the larger your wager, the more likely you will randomly trigger the jackpot blitz bonus game.
Base Game & Modifiers
Crocodile Blitz – or Crocodile Blitz Xtreme, as the title is depicted inside the game itself, is a six-reel slot with four rows for a total of 4,096 payways during base gameplay and 6,400 during the free spins feature. You’ll need at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left to score yourself a win.
Wild Diamond Symbol
The wild diamond symbol is not present on the first reel during the base game of Crocodile Blitz. During the free spins feature, the wild does not appear on reel six either, but you do at least get special multiplier wilds in that part of the game to make up for this.
Trigger Blitz Symbol
At the start of any spin, you may see the ‘trigger blitz’ logo appear on the screen. When this occurs, two scatters are guaranteed to land on the reels, which improves your chances of triggering the bonus round.
Crocodile Blitz Xtreme Slot Bonus Features
Hitting at least three scatter symbols will trigger the free spin bonus round, which comes with increased payways. If the triggering combination includes more than three scatters, you’ll receive additional free spins – 8, 12, 20, or 50 for three, four, five, or six scatter symbols, respectively.
Free Spins
In this mode, reels two and five are expanded with an additional row to create a 4-5-4-4-5-4 reel setup. This increases the number of payways from 4,096 to 6,400, but reels two and five are also important for another reason – any wilds that land on those reels become sticky when they land. On subsequent spins, the wild will move down by one position, whilst its multiplier value will increase in steps of 2x, 3x, 5x, and 8x.
You can win additional spins during the bonus round by landing further scatter symbols – just two scatters will add five more to your remaining total, with a massive 50 extra spins awarded if you’re lucky enough to hit all six possible scatters during a single free spin.
Bonus Buy
Opening the bonus buy menu offers four choices of free game sessions – 80x the current stake will buy you a three-scatter trigger and, therefore, eight free spins, but you can also pay 120x, 200x, or 500x the total bet for 12, 20, or 50 free spins respectively.
Jackpot Blitz
The jackpot blitz feature can activate randomly at the start of any spin – the odds of this happening are directly related to the size of your bet, so you might want to consider playing this machine a little higher than you would a regular online slot.

It looks similar, offers many of the same features, and the four progressive jackpots are a welcome addition to the formula as well. It may not be the best-looking machine, but Crocodile Blitz makes up for this by offering several ways to hit a huge win. Recommended!
