No, instead, a cursed can transforms farmyard fruits and vegetables into monsters at midnight on Halloween night. I like a bit of thought and imagination, so I already have a good feeling about this game. A few quick-fire stats to wrap up reveal this to be a 5-reel, 3-row, and 20-payline slot with a 96.12% RTP and a max win of 2,000x bet.
The base game is a little dull, but there is the chance to trigger a Random Event, which delivers one, two, or three reels containing the same instance of expanding symbol. At this time of the year, it feels like every slot I review has a Halloween theme. There’s nothing wrong with that apart from the fact I’m often left disappointed. They’re usually quick cash grabs, as many developers tack a Halloween theme onto an existing title and release it. A great example is Big Bass Halloween from Pragmatic Play; it’s just the original Big Bass Bonanza slot with a different theme. Sure, the original is a classic, so you will no doubt get some enjoyment from it, but it just smacks of laziness.
Anyhow, back to Cursed Can and the slot’s payouts. The Watering Can scatter symbol pays in any position and has the highest payout of all symbols. When landed five times anywhere in view, you receive 100x your stake. Next up, the Wild symbol and the Pumpkin both have a 60x payout for five symbol combinations. The Radish, Apple, and Plum round off the high-paying symbols with 40x, 30x, and 20x payouts, respectively. The A, K, Q, J, and 10 playing cards make up the lower values and pay 5x, 4x, 3x, 2x, and 1x, respectively.

You have to admire Evoplay for going with an engaging, whacky, and out-of-the-box theme, whilst other providers tend to stick to the more generic offerings. The quality of the graphics and animations is as good as you'd expect from this developer, and the mixture of bonus features injects some excitement into the gameplay. Overall, it is a decent effort and one I enjoyed playing.
