Deal Or No Deal Box Clever Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Blueprint has produced a variety of slots based on Deal or No Deal over the past decade or so, many of which use identical graphics and sounds. This can make it quite challenging to tell some of these games apart – for example, could you tell the difference between Deal or No Deal Megaways and Deal or No Deal Golden Case Megaways if it wasn’t for the different coloured backdrops? Whilst Box Clever does recycle the assets from those previous games, it does at least boast a very different feature set. Box Clever’s highest-paying symbol features the host of the UK version of the television show, Noel Edmonds. He’s worth a decent chunk of change too – 200x the total bet for a full payline of five of a kind. The golden envelope shares the same payout of 200x for all five symbols, whilst the black binder awards 100x for a complete payline. The classic question mark mug and wax stamp will both pay you 50x the bet for a five of a kind combination, whilst any five deal or no deal boxes (irrespective of labelled value) will pay you 20x the total stake. Finally, all five low-paying royals share identical returns of 10x the total bet for a complete pay line.
The minimum/maximum betting limits offered by Deal or No Deal: Box Clever have been set at €0.10 and €10.00, respectively, but you may be frustrated by the severe lack of intermediate options between these two extremes. Still, you shouldn’t struggle to find a stake size comparable to your bankroll.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game utilises a standard 5×3 video slot layout featuring just ten fixed paylines. This is something of a double-edged sword; on the one hand, the low number of paylines does mean that the prizes for five of a kind wins are much larger than those offered by other online slots. The downside is that those five of a kind hits don’t come along very often… at all!
Box Collection
If the Noel symbol appears during a spin that contains one or more Deal or No Deal boxes, you will then be paid the total value of all cash amounts shown on each box.
Reel Rush
When the box collection feature is triggered, there is a chance that the Reel Rush modifier will be activated. When it does, all Deal or No Deal boxes will be held in place, and the remaining reels will re-spin. If additional boxes land during the re-spin, the game will award another spin, and the feature will continue until no further box symbols appear.
Box Frenzy
When the box collection feature is triggered, there is a chance that the Box Frenzy modifier will be activated. When it does, several new Deal or No Deal box symbols will be added to the playfield in random positions.
Deal Or No Deal Box Clever Slot Bonus Features
There are two main features available in this game; the first is a standard free spins bonus, whilst the second is based on the Deal or No Deal game show.
Free Spins
Three or more bonus scatter symbols landing anywhere on the reels will activate the free spin bonus round. A minimum three-scatter trigger will award ten free spins, whilst four or five scatters bump this up to 15 or 20 free spins, respectively.
Wild symbols appear on all five reels during this part of the game, in contrast to the base game, where wilds only appear on reel five. Every Noel symbol that lands during the bonus round will be collected on the meter shown above the reel set. Collecting four Noel symbols will award ten additional free spins and add a 2x multiplier to all subsequent wins.
Collecting a second set of four Noel symbols will award another set of ten spins and boost the multiplier to 3x. Finally, filling the meter with the maximum of 12 Noel symbols will add another 15 free spins to your remaining counter and increase the multiplier value to a massive 10x for the remainder of the feature.
Deal Or No Deal Bonus
At any point during the base game or free spins, Noel may collect a box that contains a feature symbol. When this occurs, you will be awarded a round of Deal or No Deal against the mysterious banker.
The feature begins by asking you to choose a lucky box, and you’ll then select multiple boxes to remove possible prizes from the game. After every round of selections, the banker will make you an offer based on the remaining box values. The feature ends when you accept the banker’s offer or open your lucky box.
Jackpot King Bonus
A small amount of every spin played on this machine is contributed towards the Blueprint’s Jackpot King progressive. This game has everything a fan of Deal or No Deal could want from an online slot!
