This game has a primary bonus round titled the “Dice Dice Baby Feature, ” which is triggered randomly on any base game spin. There is a possibility that you may have no idea what the title of this slot even means. If that happens to be the case, then congratulations! You are young enough to have missed out on the Vanilla Ice craze of 1990, which basically consisted of a single pop song that was alternatively described as hip hop, alternative, rap, and even R&B/soul! The song hasn’t aged particularly well – you can give it a listen here – but as someone that remembers the song and the craze that surrounded it at the time, I can’t help but crack a smile when I think about the guys over at Booming Games deciding this was a fantastic theme on which to base their next online slot. Give the track a listen yourself, and I suspect you may also find it somewhat amusing that this software house thought this game was a good idea!
I may not think much of the concept behind this slot machine, but Booming Games could easily get me back onside if the game includes an impressive paytable. So, does it? Well, the highest-paying symbol is the lucky seven, and it has a return of 12x your bet for each completed pay way of six-of-a-kind. The diamond takes the second-placed spot and has a payout of 10x your bet for all six symbols, whilst the bell will pay you 8x your current stake if you should hit a full pay way of those. The BAR symbol is the last of the high-paying symbols and is worth 6x for a six-of-a-kind combination, after which there are just four more lower-paying symbols with returns of either 4x or 2x your bet. I wouldn’t say that these payouts are particularly impressive, if I’m honest, so maybe Booming Games can turn things around with the bonus features of their game? Stranger things have happened!
The betting range in Dice Dice Baby is a little quirky, just like the title of the game! You can play for as little as €0.05 per spin if you wish, which is probably a little low even for the cheapest of low rolling players, but hey, I guess it’s nice that they at least included the option here! The maximum bet of €25.00 feels like a sensible choice and should be sufficient to cater to the preferences of most players who are likely to try this game.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Dice Dice Baby uses a six reel, four row playfield, which is relatively large for a game with just 25 paylines. Each of the symbols listed on the paytable can appear as a single symbol or as a stack of up to four symbols, which helps significantly when it comes to achieving big wins during the base game.
Even with the stacked symbol configuration, however, you are still going to struggle to win on a large number of paylines simultaneously without the Dice Dice Baby feature – see below for details.
Dice Dice Baby Modifier
This feature can trigger randomly on any base game spin, and you can’t miss it because the text “Dice Dice Baby!” will appear on the screen in a large font before a huge rectangle appears, covering most of the reel set. One by one, a number of dice will then appear inside the rectangle. You may receive only a single die, or you may get lucky and see the maximum of six dice appear. The number shown on each of these dice will turn the corresponding reel into a full stack of wilds, and if more than one die shows the same number, that reel will also gain a multiplier.
For example, if you throw a single die with the number three, the third reel will turn into a full stack of wilds. Alternatively, if you throw two dice showing the number four, the fourth reel will transform into a stack of wilds with a 2x multiplier. If you throw three dice with different numbers on them, all three reels corresponding to the numbers shown on the dice will turn into stacks of wilds, which should be enough to grant you a nice little win. Finally, if you throw six dice and all six of them show different numbers, the entire reel set will transform into stacked wilds, immediately paying you the game’s maximum jackpot of 5,000x your bet.
This is a cool feature, especially since it can activate randomly on any base game spin. I soon lost count of how many times I saw this bonus trigger, however, because, on the vast majority of occasions, it will not result in anything special. During the bonus round, the Dice Dice Baby feature is guaranteed to trigger on every free spin, which gives you a much better chance of seeing a high-paying dice roll. Let’s talk about that now, shall we!
Dice Dice Baby Slot Bonus Features
There are two ways to trigger the free spins feature in Dice Dice Baby; you can hit three or more scatter symbols during the base game or pay 100x the regular spin cost to purchase the feature outright. Either way, the feature will award you eight free spins, and the bonus round cannot be re-triggered.

The bonus buy facility allowed me to experiment with this bonus round many times as I reviewed this slot, and the results were certainly interesting. If you only manage to hit one or two wild reels, your chances of hitting a big win are very low. Likewise, if you roll three or four dice, but those dice have duplicate numbers on them, you will need to get lucky for the multiplier reels to end up awarding you anything exciting.
If you should manage to roll a one and a three, however, you stand a good chance of a big win. If you roll a one, two, AND a three, then you are almost certain to win a large amount of money from that free spin. I did not hit more than three wild reels during my testing, but I still managed to win over 1,000x my bet after hitting a 2x multiplier reel and two more wild reels on one occasion. In my view, that is an impressive result from a short session of play on any slot.
Bonus Buy
The cost to purchase a bonus round in Dice Dice Baby is 100x the regular cost per spin, which I feel represents excellent value for money, considering that you are guaranteed at least one wild reel on every free spin.
Unfortunately, players from jurisdictions such as my own (the United Kingdom) will not be able to take advantage of this facility, but if it is open to you, I would definitely recommend trying this feature a few times, as even if you do not make a profit, you are unlikely to lose the majority of your buy-in.
Dice Dice Baby Slot Review Final Thoughts
The look and feel of this game is certainly not unique or impressive, but the gameplay does stand out, and I had more fun playing this slot than most of the other games I have tested during the past week or two. It’s a shame that the maximum win is capped at 5,000x your bet, as if you could win a little more than that, I would probably call this game an essential play for all slots players. As things stand, it’s a seven and a half out of ten.
