Dice Duel (BetGames) Slot Demo & Review

If you are a fan of dice games, BetGames has a live dealer game titled Dice Duel that gives you something a little out of the ordinary compared to games like Sic Bo and Craps. In fact, the gameplay is very close to American Street Dice, as the highest score wins. Yet, you are not playing against other players or versus the house per se; rather, you are pitching red dice versus blue dice in a game of what is essentially Hi-Lo and even comparable to Dragon Tiger, thanks to the Tie betting option. I checked the RTP, and it’s the usual 95% I find on all BetGames titles, while the maximum win available from a single bet is 34x.

Each betting round takes 25 seconds giving you plenty of time to place your bets, and there are 17 options to stake. Now, one point I am impressed with is that unlike competing live dealer brands’ dice games, like those from Pragmatic Play or Evolution that use a dice machine, on BetGames Dice Duel, the croupier physically rolls the dice onto the game board using a cup to deliver outcome. I am not sure why, but it just makes the dice rolls feel more authentic.

Aside from the American-style street dice gameplay, Dice Duel makes an appearance here on Demoslot because BetGames offers a free-play demo version of the game, which you can play directly via this Dice Duel review.

At the time of writing this review, I couldn’t find another game among tens of thousands in the iGaming industry that compares with Dice Duel. Spribe Dice is another casino game we have here on Demoslot you can play, but it lacks any similarities. However, I can make a direct comparison of Dice Duel’s betting options, which are close to the main bets found on BetGames War of Bets live casino title and Bet on Baccarat.

Before we get to what you can win, I have to say kudos to Betgames for the live dealer interaction. I am a big fan of the croupier physically rolling the dice instead of using a dice machine. Additionally, I like the challenge of the game’s most highly volatile bet, guessing the correct red and blue number combinations, which pays a sweet 34x return. At the same time, the 2.25x return for guessing red or blue is slightly better than the Player versus banker or Player versus Dealer bets on War of Bets and Bet on Baccarat, although a tie bet doesn’t quite pay as much.

The maximum bet per betting option on Dice Duel is €1.00 – €100.00. As placing multiple bets can significantly increase your overall bet, BetGames has added a €10,000 max bet limit.

  • Bet on whether the Red or Black dice wins with a higher value to win 2.25x your bet
  • Choose the correct number red or correct number blue dice for 5.7x your bet
  • Choose the correct combination of 1 red and 1 blue dice for 34x your bet

Placing bets is easy enough as you only need to select a chip value and choose your betting option. You have 25 seconds for each betting round to pick out 1 or more of the 17 options available.

Select the value of your chip, which can be 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100, then select the betting option you want to stake, which will automatically place a chip on the betting options. If you would like to bet the red and blue option, you’ll need to select the chip and put it on the + mark, then choose 1 red and 1 blue number on either side of the + marked chip.

To help you strategise, Dice Duel has a ‘Results’ option so you can track back through past results, while you can also check past bets you’ve placed using the Bet History option. I’d say where BetGames lets the game fall short is that the ‘Results’ option showing past outcomes could be a little more detailed.

Pros

  • A much easier dice game compared to Sic Bo and Craps.
  • The croupier physically rolls the dice (no dice machines).

Cons

  • The results option to see past results isn’t very detailed.

Dice Duel Review Final Thoughts

From a personal point of view, this is one of my favourite dice games out there. It offers much more straightforward gameplay versus Sic Bo and Craps. It is also very similar to playing Hi-Lo, but Dice Duel provides a broader selection of more exciting bets. I also believe many players who are firm believers in non-computer generated results will prefer the fact that the croupier rolls the dice using a cup rather than using a dice machine.
