Dueling Jokers Dream Drop Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The part about “duelling” jokers in the title refers to the fact that when a couple of the joker wild symbols land next to each other in this game, they will have a bit of a punch up. Sadly though, that doesn’t do a great deal for your balance unless you get a screen full of them, anyway! The theme itself is that same pink and purple retro-futurism style that is becoming oh-so-popular with people nowadays – I quite like it. Still, I can see people soon becoming tired of it if developers keep overusing it so much. It’s a good start though, so let’s move on.
Over to the paytable then, and we will give figures for four of the various cluster sizes, as we usually do when we review cluster-pay grid slots. The highest-paying symbol is the lucky seven and is worth 10x the bet for each cluster of 15 adjacent matching symbols, or 6x for 12, 4x for 10, or 2.5x for 9. The diamond is worth 8x/4x/2.5x/2x, followed by the horseshoe and four leaved clover, both worth 6x/3x/1.5x/1x. The lemon and cherry complete the symbol set with returns of 3x/1x/0.8x/0.6x for adjacent combinations of 15/12/10/9 symbols, respectively. And yup, that is your lot here – only six symbols on this mammoth grid. With so much space, there is enough room to spread them out sufficiently that you don’t need that many of them!
The betting range begins at €0.20 and maxes out at €20.00 per spin at the opposite end of the scale. I’d have expected slightly larger bets to be possible on this type of game, but I doubt there will be too many players that will be massively upset at the lack of larger options.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game is certainly interesting – there are eight reels of eight rows each, and each successive win will cause winning symbols to be removed from the grid, allowing new ones to drop in their place. Each time this happens, the meter shown across the top of the reels will fill up by one segment, but we are getting ahead of ourselves here! Everything in this game is a feature, it seems, so let’s start at the beginning.
Wild Joker
Whenever a wild joker contributes to a cluster win, it will randomly jump to an adjacent empty position before the start of the next cascade. Every time the joker creates a win, it will increase its multiplier by 1x. The current multiplier is applied to any win that this new joker contributes to. The process will repeat indefinitely, leading to some big multipliers on some joker symbols if you can get lucky many times in a row. If you are luckier still, these special jokers will fight one another, boosting their multiplier values even further.
Joker Meter
Every winning cluster removed from the grid will add one segment to the meter to the side of the reel set; fill the meter to add several joker wilds to the reels. During the base game, this occurs after the first, fourth, and seventh winning clusters. If the Nitro Spins mode is enabled, this is reduced to the first, third, and sixth winning clusters.
Fortune Coins
This is an unusual one – you need to collect these special coins to purchase features from the bonus buy facility. Any time a coin is collected, the super spinner wheel displayed around the edges of the main reel set may be triggered, awarding a bonus feature, more coins, or a cash prize.
Nitro Spins
This is effectively just a bonus bet option but has several benefits on the gameplay, such as reducing the number of clusters required to fill the joker meter, increasing the number of free spin scatters on the reels, adding additional coin symbols to the reels, and the super spinner feature will trigger more often due to the higher number of coin symbols on the reel set. A nitro spin costs 50% more than a regular spin.
Dream Drop Modifier
Before any regular base game spin starts, the dream drop jackpot modifier can kick in, triggering an additional spin that will automatically trigger the dream drop jackpot bonus if four joker symbols land during the dream drop modifier spin.

At the start of the free spins, the three joker wilds will appear in random positions. Every winning cluster will fill a segment of the meter, just as in the base game; however, the meter has fewer segments in this mode, so it fills up faster. Better yet, the meter continues accumulating between spins in this mode, unlike in the base game. After the 10th, 20th, and 30th winning clusters, three more spins are added.
Bonus Booster
Before your free spins begin, you can gamble the bonus round for the chance to extend it up to a maximum of 25 free spins – the more free spins you gamble, the better your chances are of winning, but the harder it hurts when you lose! You can continue to gamble multiple times if you wish, or you can call it a day at any time you like and collect the number of spins you have already won. Don’t push your luck too far!
