Elvis Aaron Presley, better known as simply Elvis, is still considered the king of rock and roll today. He is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century and was spectacularly popular until his early death in 1977. The scatter symbols are the most valuable on the paytable in this game, which is unusual nowadays – many games don’t pay anything for their scatter symbols at all now! Base Game & Modifiers
Most of the big features in Elvis Frog Trueways can be found below in the bonus rounds section, but the Trueways mechanic does mean we have a little to discuss here first.
Trueways work much like Megaways, except each of the six reels can divide into up to eight sections rather than the seven of typical Megaways slots, and there is no horizontal reel or anything like that. Whether this will be enough to keep Big Time Gaming’s lawyers away is anybody’s guess!
The total number of pay ways for each spin is displayed in the top left corner of the screen at all times, with a maximum 6×8 playfield resulting in 262,144 payways. Most winning combinations require at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left, with the biggest wins reserved for pay ways containing six matching symbols.
Multiplier Wilds
During the base game, wilds can appear both with and without multipliers attached to them. During the free spin mode, all wilds will have a multiplier. The multiplier can be 2x, 3x, or 5x, and if more than one multiplier wild appears as part of a winning payway, the product of the multipliers will be applied to the total win.
Chance X2 Ante Bet
For a cost of double the usual price per spin, your odds of hitting the free spins and re-spin feature can be doubled. I’m not sure if this is a good deal or not, but it is a straight up double the price for double the odds trade, which does at least sound fair.
Elvis Frog Trueways Slot Bonus Features
There are several bonus features included in Elvis Frog, and whilst most games concentrate the largest amount of RTP on the free spin bonus round, I believe that BGaming has chosen to make the Coin Re-Spin feature the headline bonus in this game. I say this because there are two additional features that only appear during the coin re-spin feature, and the jackpot prizes can only be won during that mode.
Coin Respin Feature
The paytable refers to this feature as an additional game involving only coin symbols rather than the normal reel set. You’ll need to his six coin symbols in the base game to trigger this feature, which is a three-spin bonus round, meaning that you need to keep hitting new symbols on every spin to top your lives back up to three.
Each coin that lands during this mode is worth a multiple of your current stake. Each coin can be worth between 1x and 20x your bet. A lightning symbol can also divide positions into two, effectively doubling the value of any already collected coin symbols.
Jackpots
The jackpot prizes only appear during the coin re-spin feature. There are two smaller jackpots – the mini and major – which can land on the reels during play, whereas the Mega Jackpot can only be won by filling all 48 possible positions with coin symbols.
Free Spins
Hitting four, five, or six scatter symbols during the base game will award a number of free spins based on the number of triggering scatters. Four will award 12 free spins, whilst 15 or 20 will be granted should you trigger the feature with five or six scatter symbols.
The free spins feature works much like the base game, with one key difference – all wild symbols that land during this mode are guaranteed to have a multiplier, dramatically increasing your chances of hitting a big win during this mode.
Bonus Buy
For a cost of 100x the regular stake, you can opt to purchase either the free spins feature or the coin re-spin feature. I’m slightly surprised that both options cost the same amount, as I would have expected the coin re-spin mode to cost a little more than the free spins. I guess that the RTP of each feature must be roughly similar, despite my own results whilst testing the game.
Either way, I feel that the price of 100x your bet is fair for both of these features, so if you live in a jurisdiction where this option is permitted, go ahead and give it a few tries!
