Elysian, adjective; Describes a blissful, delightful, or glorious state. The word Elysian comes from the idyllic Greek mythological place known as the Elysian Fields. Sounds about right for a mammoth jackpot, doesn’t it? Elysian Jackpots Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
It’s great to see another developer creating their own series of progressive jackpot slots, even if they might not be quite as impressive as, say, the Dream Drop jackpots offered in Relax Gaming’s online slots. A top prize of €15,000 is nothing to complain about, of course, especially if you happen to win it on a relatively low bet! As with most other progressive machines, your odds of hitting a jackpot scale alongside the size of your wager, with bets of €2.00 having ten times the potential to trigger that a €0.20 bet would. Incidentally, the Fastpot 5 branding is obviously, ahem, borrowed from the Fast & Furious franchise! Nothing is sacred in the world of online slots, is it?
The regular paytable hits offered up in Elysian Jackpots aren’t half bad either, especially considering this is a progressive jackpot machine. The most valuable symbol of the bunch is an old-looking guy with a huge beard – perhaps he plays Santa at Christmas? – who has a return of 200x the total bet for a full payline of five of a kind. The female character symbol is worth half as much at 100x for all five symbols, followed by a goblet at 50x and a huge blue-stone ring at 37.5x for a complete payline. The payouts for the low-paying royals range between 6.5x for five Jacks up to 10x for five Aces.
The betting range on the game starts at just €0.10, steadily progressing before reaching the maximum limit of €40. As you would probably expect, there are several options between these two amounts which should offer more than enough choice to cater for players of all size budgets.
Base Game & Modifiers
The Elysian Jackpots base game uses a five reel, three row video slot configuration, with all paylines oriented from left to right. There are eight regular paying symbols on the paytable, and you’ll need three or more of these in sequence starting from the leftmost reel to score a win. The reels are packed with special symbols too, and whilst they can sometimes act as blockers for the regular payline wins, they’ll usually make up for this in a different way!
Key Collection
There are five different keys corresponding to the five jackpot prizes. Each key is assigned to a specific reel, which is the only place that it can appear. When five identical keys are collected, the game will award 10 jackpot free spins with one starting gem towards the same coloured jackpot. All new players receive two blue keys and one of each of the other keys to start their collection.
Jackpot Gems
Collecting five gems of the same colour will award the corresponding jackpot prize. Gems appear in all free spin modes but are not saved between free spin sessions.
All jackpots are progressive and represent a 3.8% cut of the 96% total RTP, leaving 92.2% for the remainder of the game’s features. This 3.8% is divided up as follows:

Hitting three or more scatter symbols during base gameplay will trigger ten spins in the Jackpot Free Spins bonus. When the triggering combination consists of four or five scatters, an additional cash prize of either 50x or 500x the total bet is also awarded. The Jackpot Free Spins can also be won via the Pick & Click Game.
Jackpot Free Spins Feature
In this mode, all regular line payouts (excluding jackpots) will be boosted by a 3x multiplier. The scatters and key symbols are removed from the reels for this part of the game and replaced by coloured gems. You’ll need to collect five gems of identical colour during a single free spins session to receive the corresponding jackpot prize, and you can even win multiple jackpots during a single free spin session.
Treasure Chest Bonus Game
The treasure chest bonus can be won via the Pick & Click game or the Shield feature. You will be asked to select from three treasure chests at each level of this feature. These can contain cash prizes, jackpot keys, or the dreaded avalanche! The cash prizes get larger with each successive round.
Elysian Jackpots Slot Review Final Thoughts
The theme of Elysian Jackpots isn’t really to my taste, but the jackpot prizes certainly are! The huge multi-million Euro jackpots offered in the Mega Moolah and Dream Drop games are obviously enticing, but we all know that our odds of winning them are slim to none. Because of this, it’s nice to have an alternative here with a more realistic top prize, as it gives the impression that you stand a much better chance of winning it!
