Eye Of Horus Fortune Play (Blueprint) Slot Demo & Review

The Eye of Horus series of online slots by Blueprint Gaming continues to expand, this time with a Fortune Play iteration. The fortune play games offer you the chance to play on four sets of reels simultaneously, much like the “Mega Spin” games by Microgaming, such as Break da Bank Again Mega Spin. Apart from this change, Eye of Horus Fortune Play remains similar to the original version of the game with ten fixed pay lines, a 94.95% RTP, and a top win of 50,000x the stake wagered. When activated, the Fortune Play mode slightly increases RTP to 95.50%.

The game includes identical features to the first Eye of Horus online slot, such as expanding wild symbols, bonus scatter symbols, and a symbol upgrade feature activated during the main bonus round. The symbol upgrade feature is also active during Fortune Play, along with an exclusive golden upgrade bonus that will instantly transform all visible tablets into the highest-paying variant.

I believe most slot players will be familiar with one or more versions of this game by now, but the Fortune Play mode is different enough to make it well worth checking out our Eye of Horus Fortune Play slot demo below.

Eye Of Horus Fortune Play Slot Paytable

The original Eye of Horus slot first appeared on casino floors more than a decade ago, but it wasn’t until the release of the online variant that the game really took with players in a major way. The game was such a hit for Blueprint Gaming that a Megaways version quickly followed and was soon joined by more versions, such as the Power 4 and Golden Tablet games. All of these Eye of Horus slots, including this new one, share identical graphics, symbols, and, to some extent, payouts. If you enjoy Egyptian Slots, these machines are a solid choice, although I wouldn’t say they are the most attractive examples of the genre.

Two symbols share the top spot on the paytable; first, the scatter symbol will pay 50x the total bet whenever all five appear anywhere on the reel set. Second, the Eye of Ra tablet will also award a total of 50x the current stake, although you’ll need to land five of those on an active payline to receive the payout this time. The cat tablet offers 40x for a five of a kind combination, followed by the bird at 30x and the scarab beetle at 25x. Two pairs of hieroglyphs take the final two high-paying spots, represented by people and fans, and both share a return of 20x the total bet for a complete payline. Finally, all four low-paying royal symbols share a payout of 10x for a five-of-a-kind winning combination.

The normal game mode allows bets ranging between €0.10 and €10.00, whilst the four-way Fortune Play mode has higher minimum/maximum limits of €1.00 and €100.00, respectively. With both of these game formats available to play, I’m confident there will be a stake size you can choose to play at that is comparable to your bankroll.

Eye Of Horus Fortune Play Slot Base Game & Modifers

Eye Of Horus Fortune Play Slot Base Game
Eye of Horus Fortune Play slot base game

The base game of Eye of Horus Fortune Play looks and plays identically to the original Eye of Horus online slot. The playfield consists of five reels of three rows each and is spanned by ten fixed paylines. Many ten-line games opt for a different payline layout, so it may be worth checking the arrangement of the lines before you begin to play.

Expanding Wilds

The wild pharaoh symbol will expand to cover the entire reel every time it lands on the playfield. These symbols only seem to appear on reels two through four, unfortunately, so it doesn’t appear that you can hit a full screen of these high-paying symbols in either regular or fortune play modes.

Eye Of Horus Fortune Play Slot Bonus Features

The main bonus round is triggered by hitting three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reel set. The minimum three-scatter trigger will award a cash prize of 2x your bet in addition to ten free spins, whilst four or five will increase the payout to 20x or 50x, respectively.

Free Spins

The main bonus round will always award ten free spins, irrespective of the number of triggering scatter symbols. In this mode, any expanding wild symbols that land on the reels will trigger a symbol upgrade; the first expanding wild will cause all of the lowest-paying symbols to upgrade to the next most valuable symbol on the paytable. The second will then upgrade all of the second-tier symbols to the third, and so forth. You can keep an eye on your symbol upgrade progress via the meter displayed at the top of the screen. Expanding wild symbols will also award one, three, or five additional free spins whenever one, three, or five of them land, respectively.

Fortune Play

The fortune play button on the left of the reel set will take you to an alternative main screen with four sets of reels instead of the usual one. In this mode, the scatter symbols are removed from the reels, whilst a new golden expanding wild symbol is added.

The regular expanding wild symbol works similarly to the free spin mode, although each symbol will now upgrade all four sets of reels at the same time. The golden scatter symbol will cause all visible tablets to instantly upgrade to the highest-paying Eye of Ra symbol, equivalent to simultaneously hitting five of the regular expanding wild symbols.

Pros

  • Popular series developed by Blueprint.
  • High max win of 50,000x bet.
  • A fun Eye of Horus demo slot to play.

Cons

  • RTP of 95%.
  • Some players may be bored with the Egyptian theme.

Final Thoughts

There’s not much point in trying out our Eye of Horus free play if you are only interested in the regular game mode, as that is identical to the original Eye of Horus online slot. The Fortune Play mode is interesting and worth a look, but don’t forget that four sets of reels mean a dramatic increase in volatility and RTP!
