Feel The Beat (Hacksaw Gaming) Slot Demo & Review

Provider Hacksaw Gaming has historically produced some great titles, and their stock has risen even further in recent times, with their creation of a consistent string of innovative, high volatility slots that have proved particularly popular within the bonus buy sphere, seeing them earn a place at the fore of the pack amongst some elite slot developers. Their sharp moves are sure to earn them some further attention here as they boogie on down to the dance floor in this latest release. Will they be able to throw some stunning shapes to wow the crowd, or will their dad dancing scare us all away? Let’s get down to business and find out. Feel The Beat is a high volatility, five-reel, five-row slot featuring a maximum win of 10,000x and an RTP range that tops out at 96.20%.

There are some very funky graphics on display when you load up this title, with neon lights illuminating the atmospheric party arena that serves as the backdrop to this slot. In order to achieve a win, you’ll be required to match symbols from left to right across any of the 27 fixed paylines available. Another feature that is immediately noticeable is Hacksaws trademark Beatspins element, which syncs gameplay to the beat of a soundtrack, with up to three tunes present to choose from. As you move further into the action, you’ll begin to take note of the speaker boxes that drop into view on some spins; land two or more of these on the grid, and they will spread and connect, subsequently revealing a matching mystery symbol. These functions are enhanced further within the games two bonus features; landing three scatters will award the Pump Up The Jam bonus, featuring a higher chance of landing speakers and multipliers, whilst four scatters will activate the Get Your Booty On The Floor feature.

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably a better dancer in your head than you are in real life, and If you’re off to the hottest party in town, then this can be quite an embarrassing problem. Maybe limbering up by busting out some pre-party moves would be advisable? We’ve got the perfect place to do that, it’s the Feel The Beat demo slot, which is available to play for free below!

Playing Feel The Beat would give you the impression that the developers over at Hacksaw Gaming are a regular feature on the rave scene. However, to my memory, they haven’t produced any other efforts involving a party theme. Many players would immediately think of Chaos Crew when hearing this provider mentioned, and they have recently released a sequel called Chaos Crew 2. It’s a high volatility slot with a maximum win of 20,000x, packed full of crazy multiplier action. Will it be able to build on the success of its predecessor? Judge that for yourself by checking out the review and demo. Alternatively, if you really want an afterparty to move onto, provider PG Soft has a great rave-themed slot to enjoy. Titled Rave Party Fever, it’s a medium volatility cluster pays slot with a potential maximum win of 5,000x crammed with in-play action. These are all great recommendations, but for now, get your glad rags on as up next, we’ll dig deeper into the features of Feel The Beat, starting over at the pays section.

To receive the highest payout value for each symbol, you’ll need to match five of them across a payline. The top symbols featured are the Wild and the Pink Skull, which are both worth 40x. These are followed by the Blue Cat at 30x, the Green & Black Circles at 18x, the Star at 15x, and the final premium symbol, the Cluster of Four Circles, which will return 9x the total stake value. The non-premium symbols featured are the A, K, Q, and J, which will all return 2x for each line of five symbols.

Finishing this section of the review takes us over to the staking options on Feel The Beat. Typically, with a Hacksaw slot, there are many to choose from, starting from a low of €0.10 and rising to a high of €100.00, with plenty of well-placed options between.

Feel The Beat Slot Base Game

Boogieing on down to the game mechanics now, and there’s nothing complex to be seen here. Achieving a win is as simple as matching at least three corresponding symbols across the 5×5 reel formation on any of the game’s 27 paylines. These combinations must commence on the leftmost reel and move from left to right, and all symbols will stay in position if involved in a win.

Speaker Symbol

Speaker symbols can land on the grid during any spin. When a minimum of two land, all winning paylines between them will be identified, and all symbols along these lines will flip to reveal the same matching symbol.

X Symbol

The X symbol can land on the grid during any spin. It only becomes active if landing in the same spin as a winning combination. If this happens, a multiplier value of either x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50, x100, x150, or x200 will be revealed, and that value will be applied to the total win from that spin. If more than one X symbol is present, the sum of their totals will be applied.

Players can trigger two bonus features on Feel the Beat, so let’s find out what these are and, more importantly, how they play out once they have been activated.

Pump Up Th Jam Free Spins

Landing three scatter symbols during any one spin will trigger the Pump Up The Jam bonus, awarding 10 free spins. During this feature, there is an increased chance of Speaker and X symbols landing on the grid and the potential for the Speaker symbol to transform other symbols into wilds. Landing two or three scatter symbols during the same free spin will award an additional two or four spins, respectively.

Get Your Booty On The Floor Free Spins

Landing four scatter symbols during any one spin will trigger the Get Your Booty On The Floor bonus, awarding 10 free spins. This bonus features all the same elements as the Pump Up The Jam bonus but with the addition of a sticky multiplier, where all activated X symbol values will be accumulated and displayed above the grid and applied to every subsequent win in which an X symbol is present. Landing two or three scatter symbols during the same free spin will award an additional two or four spins, respectively.

Bonus Buy

For players in the appropriate jurisdictions, there are several game enhancing options you can utilise along with ways to to buy your way into the bonus. The options available are:

Pros

Cons

  • Three scatter bonus feels hard to win on.

Feel The Beat Slot Review Final Thoughts

Feel the Beat is a very enjoyable slot with an interesting theme that’s been graphically well presented. However, I feel that the game's three soundtracks are certainly not banging tunes, and Hacksaw has missed the opportunity to fulfil the potential of their Beatspins idea by creating a piece of iconic theme music that would have made this slot truly memorable. That aside, the inclusion of the Speaker and X symbols adds win potential to all areas, which is particularly seen in the four-scatter bonus, where the sticky multiplier can help towards some very nice hits. The three-scatter bonus seems far more difficult to win on, and I didn’t manage to get above the bonus buy cost during testing, although I did trigger it naturally three times within 50 spins. Overall, this is a solid game that’s not too far away from greatness, but it does have slight flaws.
