When a new slot lands on my lap for a review, I usually have a feeling of what to expect depending on the developer behind it, and when it is Relax Gaming, I know that similar to slots from developers such as Elk Studios, Push Gaming, and Nolimit City, there’s a good chance the slot I’ll review will have a wealth of features, modifiers, and exciting mechanics to explore. While FireWins is not the most complex Relax Gaming slot I’ve reviewed, my expectations were still met as there are six wild symbols with different modifiers, cascading reels, and progressive multipliers.

Firewins Factory Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I’ll get into it in more detail later, but one of the more interesting aspects of FireWins Factory is the ‘Connected Pay Ways’ mechanic that Relax Gaming has used. It’s like a limited ways to win mechanic, as matching symbols on successive reels must connect adjacently or diagonally above or below. That said, it’s not the first time Relax Gaming has gone with this mechanic, as it has shown up in several slots in recent years, most notably Wild Yield and Mega Heist, slots that we awarded 8.8 and 8 out of 10, respectively. The difference is that there are 950 payways compared to the 259 and 178 on those slots, so the mechanic has been ramped up for this release.
As for the symbols and the rewards you’ll get for lining them up along those connected payways, these do not look all that great at first glance. But once you realise this is a cascading reels slot with a progressive multiplier later on in the gameplay, you can understand why, as spins are all about creating a chain reaction of wins rather than standalone combinations. As the boss of the FireWins Factory floor, you’d expect the Moustached Manager to be the top dog when it comes to payouts, and that is the case here, as he is worth 1x the stake for a 6-symbol combo. Following him are the Red and Orange Worker symbols, which both pay 0.6x, and the Green and Blue Workers share the same max payout of 0.5x. All the low-paying playing card suit symbols of Hearts, Clubs, Spades and Diamonds will pay 0.4x for a winning combo of six.
Ending this section, we finish with the staking options on Firewins Factory and the minimum price to spin starts at €0.10, with the maximum bet reaching up to €50. As you’d expect from a tier one developer such as Relax Gaming, players will find plenty of choices within this range to bet at.
Firewins Factory Slot Base Game
As I mentioned earlier, all the action on the FireWins Factory slot plays out across a 6×6 grid that uses a 950 connected ways to win mechanic to determine payouts. Wins are created when three or more matching symbols land on consecutive reels either adjacently or connected diagonally up or down one position.
Cascading Reels
After every winning combination, all symbols involved in the win are removed from the reels, leaving space for new symbols to drop into place and potentially create further wins. If a cascade leads to another winning combo, the process repeats until no additional wins are created.
Explosive Wilds
The FireWins Factory slot comes into its own via the numerous wild symbols that can appear on the reels – there are six of them in total. The standard wild will perform the regular role of substituting for regular-paying symbols, while Explosive Wilds do that while also exploding to spread Wilds across the reels – sometimes even Super Exploding to spread the wild joy even further than normal.
- Cross Wild: This will transform symbols directly above, below, left, and right into wild symbols.
- Diagonal Cross Wild: These convert regular symbols to the top left and right and bottom left and right into wilds.
- Vertical Wild: Similarly, the Vertical Wild will convert the symbols directly below or above them into wild symbols.
- Horizontal Wild: The Horizontal Wild does the same but to symbols directly above and below.
- Random Spread Wild: This Explosve WIld will randomly convert between 3 and 8 regular symbols into wilds.
Progressive Multiplier
Another potential-increasing feature is the multipliers, which increase after every cascade involving an Explosive Wild symbol. The multiplier increases by 1x after each cascade before resetting for the start of the next spin.
Second Chance
If no more winning combinations are possible, but there is an unused wild symbol on the grid, the Second Chance feature could be randomly triggered. One of the factory worker symbols close to the wild will perform a cute animation that causes the wild symbol to explode, removing all adjacent symbols. That allows new ones to drop into the grid and potentially create a winning combo.
Firewins Factory Slot Bonus Features
All that wild-induced craziness continues in a free spins bonus triggered when three or more scatter symbols land anywhere in view. If a spin reveals three scatter symbols, you’ll receive 8 free spins and an extra free spin for each additional scatter that landed on the triggering spin.
Free Spins
The free spins bonus plays out similarly to the base game but for one big difference – the progressive multiplier, which increases after every cascade caused by an Explosive Wild, no longer resets between spins.
Bonus Buy
I know there are a few (okay, a lot) that like to take a few more risks playing slots, so you’ll be happy to hear Firewins Factory is a bonus buy slot, and you can use the feature buy option to purchase the free spins bonus. There are two options:
