Game Overview
What are there more of, fish in the sea or fishing-themed slots? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, as I’m just playing around, but one thing’s sure. There are dozens of fishing slots swimming around in the lobbies of online casinos, and I’d wager the majority of them come from just a handful of developers, with Blueprint Gaming certainly being among the most prolific users of the theme. To be honest, I’ve lost count of how many the studio has released exactly, but we’re definitely talking double figures, and now that number has increased by another one, as Blueprint Gaming has just released Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish, a 6×4 slot with 4,096 ways to win, a 95% RTP, and a 10,000x the stake maximum win.
As you’d expect, this slot again offers a Money Collection feature that rewards cash prizes whenever the Collect symbols land simultaneously with Fish Money symbols. However, this time, there are five unlockable Collect symbols that perform different modifiers when they scoop up the cash prizes. One boosts those prizes, another triggers re-spins, one pays additional prizes on top, and the last will unlock the Super version of the slot’s free spins bonus. In the regular bonus, you can unlock additional spins and win multipliers of up to 10x, but you can do all that while also receiving one of seven different upgrades that are activated throughout the bonus game.
There’s a good chance you’ve only just returned from the last fishing adventure here at Demoslot, such is the frequency of new fishing slots, but this one does look like it has a bit more to offer than most others. Take a look for yourself on the Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish slot demo below.
slot theme, stakes, pays & symbols
If you’re into your fishing slots, you probably don’t need an introduction to this Fishin’ Frenzy series from Blueprint Gaming or, indeed, the other biggie, Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza range. However, you might not know about a few others from different studios, such as The Rodfather Megaways from Booming Games, which offers up to 200,704 ways to win and up to a maximum win of 34,000x the stake, and Catch 22 from Realistic Games, another reasonable title that’s not too dissimilar to the Fishin’ Frenzy slot I’m currently reviewing.
The symbol payouts come next, and they are not what you’d classify as eye-catching, but the money collection feature and all the other features and modifiers offset those somewhat. The Pelican has the best return of 5x the stake for a 6-symbol combination, while the Hat and Fishing Reel both reward up to 2.5x. The Life Saver and the Tackle Box are the last of the premiums, and both return up to 2x. The Ace and King sit at the top of the lower pays worth 1.5x, the Queen and Jack both pay up to 1.2x and the Ten and Nine share a 1x top return.
Finally, we come to the price of play. You can jump straight into the action for a very budget-friendly minimum of €0.10 a game, with the maximum bet reaching a high of €25.00.
slot base game
There is a 6-reel and 4-row reel configuration in play on the Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish slot, and across it are 4,096 ways to win. Creating winning combinations requires two or more matching high-value symbols or three or more matching low-value symbols to land left to right.
Cash Collection
Once again, Blueprint Gaming’s latest Fishin’ Frenzy slot has a money collection feature. Each time a Reel’Em In Collect symbol lands on the sixth reel at the same time as Fish Money symbols anywhere across the reels, those values are collected and paid. The same happens with any of the Mini (20x), Minor (50x), Major (200x), and Mega (2,500x) Cashpot jackpot symbols that are collected.
The Cash Collection feature is also tied to many other slot features, including one of the main bonus games. To the left of the reels, you’ll see five features you must first unlock before they can trigger:
- Reel’Em In: The first time a Reel’Em Collect symbol collects fish money values, a second instance unlocks on reel 1. The second time the cash collection feature triggers, the Bait ‘N’ Catch symbol unlocks and can land on the first and sixth reels.
- Bait’n Catch: When this symbol lands at the same time as Cash Symbols, it locks them in place and delivers a re-spin of all remaining positions. If more cash values land, the re-spins continue until no more appear. If both Bait’N’Catch symbols triggered the feature, you’re granted an extra life during the re-spins.
- Bigger Catch: The Bigger Catch Collect symbol unlocks once the Bait’N’Catch collects Fish money symbols for the first time. Bigger Catch Collects boost the cash value of the Fish Money symbols before collecting them.
- Pick a Fish: Once the Bigger Catch collects Fish Money symbols for the first time, the Pick a Fish feature symbol becomes active on the reels. On future spins, when it lands on a winning Money Collect spin, players receive a pick of three positions to receive a cash prize on top of that spin’s winnings.
- Big Splash: Once the Pick a Fish feature triggers once, the Big Splash symbol becomes active, and that means the better free spins bonus will now trigger instead of the regular bonus game when three or more scatter symbols land anywhere in view.
Fishin Frenzy Even Bigger Fish slot bonus features
There are two bonus games on Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish. The regular free spins bonus is active until the Big Splash variation of the bonus is unlocked in the base game. Let’s learn more about them both in detail below.
Regular Free Spins Feature
You’ll receive 10 free spins when three or more scatter symbols land anywhere in view. All currently unlocked Collect scatter symbols can appear on the reels during the free spins and collect Fish Money prizes as usual.
All Collect symbols are collected as those spins play out, and at certain milestones, you’ll receive the following:
- After 3 Collects trigger, you receive an additional 5 free spins and 2x multiplier that applies to future Cash Collect wins.
- After 6 Collects trigger, you receive an additional 5 free spins and 3x multiplier that applies to future Cash Collect wins.
- After 9 Collects trigger, you receive an additional 5 free spins and 5x multiplier that applies to future Cash Collect wins.
- After 12 Collects trigger, you receive an additional 5 free spins and 10x multiplier that applies to future Cash Collect wins.
Big Splash Free Spins Bonus Game
If unlocked during the base game, the Big Splash Free Spins Bonus will trigger when three or more scatter symbols appear anywhere in view. This free spins bonus plays out like the regular bonus, except you receive one of the following upgrades via a picking game before the bonus starts:
- Fish Upgrade: Increases the minimum value of the cash values applied to the Fish Money symbols.
- +Games: Rewards up to 5 additional free spins.
- Next Level: Starts the bonus at the first unlockable milestone – giving a 2x win multiplier that applied to cash collects.
- Two-Ways Pays: Winning combinations can now form right to left as well as left to right.
- +Fish: More Fish Money symbols are added to the reels.
- +Collect: More Collect symbols are added to the reels.
- +Golden Fish: Adds more Jackpot (Mini, Minor, Major, and Mega) symbols to the reels.
Pros
- The inclusion of five unlockable features adds depth and variety to the gameplay, keeping things fresh.
- While a 10,000x the stake maximum win is far from the biggest, it compares reasonably with some other fishing slots.
Cons
- The return to player (RTP) rate is on the lower side compared to other slots.
- The betting range is small - not ideal for high rollers.
Fishin Frenzy Even Bigger Fish Slot Review Final Thoughts
You usually just get more of the same from Fishing-themed slots, which can be annoying, to say the least, but at least this latest game mixes things up with five unlockable features and an additional upgrade for the free spins bonus should you make it that far. This type of slot still doesn't rock my boat, but I had more fun than I usually do on the standard cookie-cutter fishing games.
