It’s called Fist of Destruction, and it’s a high volatility, five-reel, four-row slot with a potential maximum win of 10,000x and an RTP of 96.30%.
When initially opening the game, I was immediately struck by the brilliant cartoon graphics, reminiscent of the style used in a console beat ‘em up. This experience is enhanced further through the ability to select your preferred fighter, resulting in a switch of visuals but having no effect on the gameplay. The 5×4 grid that the combat occurs on features just 14 paylines and no cascading reels element, but there is one significant addition that overrides this simplicity, and it really packs a punch. That feature is the fist symbol, which can land on any reel and turn all symbols above it wild. If it moves through an enemy fighter symbol or a wild, it will adopt a multiplier value that can rise to a height of x200. As evidenced in the title I’m reviewing today, Hacksaw Gaming has consistently proved itself to be a master of the wild symbol, constantly conjuring up innovative uses for it. Another recent release from them that features some imaginative wild use is Beam Boys, which sees crazy cats firing laser beam wilds from right to left across row positions. Fist Of Destruction Slot Base Game
As we head into the game mechanics section, I can tell you that the action takes place on a 5×4 grid across 14 fixed paylines. Matching at least three corresponding symbols from left to right, commencing on the leftmost reel, will result in a win. The cascading reels mechanism is not used, so all symbols will remain in position even if involved in a win. Plus, as usual with most slots, the wild symbol will substitute for any paytable symbol in a win line.
Fist Symbol Wild Reels
The fist symbol can land in any grid position, but only one can land on each reel during any single spin. It comes in two colours, red and blue, which represent the two fight teams featured in the game. Once one lands on a reel, it will ‘punch’ upwards from its position, turning the position it landed in, plus any in the same reel above it, wild.
If this movement passes through either a wild or fighter pay symbol from the opposing colour team, these wilds will take on a random multiplier value of either x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50, x100, or x200. If it passes through multiple wilds or opposing team pay symbols, then each one of those will add a multiplier, which will be summed together and displayed as the total multiplier value for that wild, or part wild, reel.
Any line wins that pass through a fist wild will have its multiplier value applied to them to produce the total win value, and if they pass through more than one fist wild reel, their multipliers will be added together and applied to the win.
Fist Of Destruction Slot Bonus Features
There are two bonus rounds to get stuck into in Fist of Destruction, so let’s break these down to find out what they are and see if they come out swinging.
Throwdown Bonus
Landing three FS scatter symbols on the screen during a single spin will trigger the Throwdown Bonus. During this feature, landing 2 more scatters in the same spin will award +2 free spins, whilst landing 3 or more will award +4. Ultimate Throwdown Bonus
Landing four FS scatter symbols during the same spin will trigger the Ultimate Throwdown Bonus. The mechanics of this feature are identical to the standard bonus, except the Victory Level will begin at level 4 instead of level 3.

Hacksaw Gaming has once again delivered the goods with Fist of Destruction. At its heart, it’s a fairly simple slot, but the fist wild symbol is a great mechanic, completely transforming the game into an exciting beast. The graphics and theme are brilliantly delivered, and there is a lot of fun to be had via the feature buy button. If I’m being picky, the 14 win lines seem a bit low, and the maximum win could have been pushed a bit higher, but they are really minor points. This game just has something about it that will keep me coming back again and again; I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
