Game Overview
Understandably, even the most ardent slot fans get bored occasionally and like to switch to other casino games. However, when boredom strikes next time, rather than hitting the blackjack or roulette tables, I have a different style of game for you to consider. Called arcade/fishing shooting games, these are basically video games that take gambling fun to the next level. You shoot things and earn money in return – it’s as simple as that. The latest of these to hit my inbox is Fortune Zombie from TaDa Gaming, which, as you can imagine, puts you into a zombie apocalypse, arms you with a gun, and lets you take out your day’s frustrations by shooting as many of these brain-eating beings as possible.
Newcomers might be quite confused when they load up Fortune Zombie for the first time, as it looks more like a game you might play on your mobile phone than something serious to win some money. For starters, there are zombies walking all over the place and a ton of animations happening on the screen. However, all you have to do is take aim at the zombies you want to exterminate and start firing. There are mini zombies, medium zombies, and now and again, special zombies and even a King Boss can appear. Generally, the bigger they are, the larger the payout will likely be if you get the kill shot. As you shoot away, you can earn buffs from claiming Supply Drops, charge up a grenade with a wide blast radius, and potentially win one of three local progressive jackpots. There’s a competitive edge, too, as another player can connect to the same game as you and start stealing your kills and wins.
Fancy yourself as a sharpshooter who has what it takes to rid the world of a zombie infestation? Then step forward, sign up, and take aim via the Fortune Zombie demo below.
theme, stakes, pays & symbols
We’ve reviewed a few of these arcade-style multiplayer games now, and for the most part, they all offer the same thing. You take aim, compete with other players, and hope to take down the bigger payouts when killing the most lucrative targets. Most of these games have a fish theme, such as TaDa Gaming’s Fortune King Jackpot and Mega Fishing from Jili Games, which is fine, but If I had a choice of shooting fish or zombies, I’d go for the undead every time.
As for the payouts on Fortune Zombie, there’s a lot to get through. There are quite a few different zombies, as you’ll see below:
- Mini Zombies: Killing 10 Peekies returns 2x the stake, while 6 of the Turfang reward 3.6x. Each Desk Dead kill is worth 3x, while the Frightness and Triwalkers reward 5x and 9x, respectively.
- Medium Zombies: Each shot on medium zombies earns consecutive multipliers. Killing Cookdoom rewards 6x – 30x, Lootombie is worth 8x – 40x, and Cartooth pays 10x – 50x.
- Special Zombies: The kaboomer can reward 10x – 75x, the Goltomb returns 50x, the Necrosser rewards 12x – 130x, and the Rushdown pays 15x to 160x.
- Hoardgoyle: When you kill this zombie, it drops a safe that reveals three dice. An animation shows these dice rolling, and the values that land are multiplied with each other to reveal a win multiplier. There is a chance the third dice could be golden, and when that happens, it doubles the overall multiplier.
- Zone and King Zombie: The game’s big boss is the King Zombie, Infernodrac, who appears in the Vegas Void segment of the game. Each shot at him will increase his win multiplier, and the player that gets the kill shot will receive between 50x – 1,250x the stake. Plus, there is a chance to receive an Awakening Revenge bonus that boosts the payout by up to 5x.
Each bullet you fire costs a stake, so watch how much you’re shooting. Being trigger-happy is a surefire way to deplete your bankroll. The stakes supported range between €0.05 and €5.00 per shot.
Gameplay
There’s a few additional features to keep an eye out for, too:
Lucky Drop Supplies
Lucky Drops can appear in the playing area, and the player that destroys them will receive a 20% bonus for all payouts for 20 seconds.
Grenade Launcher
As you continue shooting, you will charge up a Grenade Launcher. Once full, you can click to activate it, and when fired, the grenades hit zombies in a large blast area.
Fortune Zombie Jackpots
A small portion (0.3%) of each player’s stakes contribute to three progressive jackpots. The Mini Major and Grand are seeded with 100x, 500x, and 2,000x the stake, respectively, and can grow indefinitely until they’re won. Each successful hit on a zombie gives you the chance to win one of the jackpots. However, only stakes of a certain amount qualify:
- Mini: All stakes qualify to win the Mini Jackpot.
- Major: Only stakes of at least 0.10 are eligible to win the Major Jackpot.
- Grand: Only stakes of at least 0.50 are eligible to win the Grand Jackpot.
Section content….
Pros
- The visuals are great - it’s almost like playing a video game.
- Other players can play at the same time.
Cons
- The gameplay takes some time to get used to.
Fortune Zombie Slot Review Final Thoughts
I’ve never been the biggest fan of these arcade games, but I can see why they’re so popular in Asian markets. They’re the perfect combination between video games and gambling. The zombie theme ensured I had more fun than I usually do, though, and I have a strong feeling many of you guys will find zombie slaying more than shooting fish, as well. Fortune Zombie is well worth a look, especially if you’re looking for something different to play at the online casinos.
