Fruit Flash (Red Tiger Gaming) Slot Demo & Review

I guess classic-themed slots are starting to trend once again, as several of the most recent slots I’ve reviewed have had a retro slot gaming theme. I’m back with another today, and this time, it is Red Tiger Gaming that has us spinning classic fruit symbols, hoping to line some of them up across some brightly lit reels. At face value, you’d assume there aren’t many bonus features, but like so many other retro titles recently, it’s only the design that suggests the slot is classic. You’ll learn more about those features shortly, but let’s start by clarifying the core details of this latest Red Tiger release. Fruit Flash is a 5×3 slot with 243 ways to win, a 95.71% RTP, and a 10,632x maximum win.

As for those features, one is visible the moment you open the slot, and that’s a prize ladder sitting to the right of the reels. Winning symbols are then collected from a win frame, totalled up, and added to that ladder during a base game spin. You also receive a respin of the reels each time a winning combination runs through that win frame, and as you progress up the ladder, you can unlock payouts of up to 2,500x your stake. Furthermore, once you collect enough symbols, you’ll also trigger a free spins bonus that features a ladder with doubled payouts – meaning you can now win up to 5,000x the stake.

If all of that sounds like a combination of features you think could make this slot worth a look, then you only have to look below to be able to play the Fruit Flash slot demo for free.

Fruit Flash Slot Paytable

I mentioned there’s been an influx of classic-themed slots released lately in this review’s introduction, so if this is a theme you enjoy, you might want to check through our free to play casino games and give them a try. One I personally enjoyed was the Cheers slot from Atlantic Digital, a game designed to look like it was in the bar of the iconic television series of the same name. While it has a classic design, though, it’s far from your typical retro slot, as it has 9 bonus games. Pragmatic Play has also released a couple of fruit-style slots, with Joker’s Jewels Wild and Hot to Burn Multiplier now available at online casinos. I didn’t particularly enjoy either, but some of you who like less complicated slotting may like what they offer.

Before whisking yourself off to play any of the above, you’ll want to hear about the paytable on this Fruit Flash slot from Red Tiger Gaming. You can scoop single payouts of up to 100x the stake, with that particular win coming whenever you line up five of the Watermelon symbols on consecutive reels. For combos of the same size, the Orange pays 20x, the Plum is worth 10x, and the Lemon and Cherries share a 3x max payout. Onto the lower value symbols, and we find the usual playing card symbols in action, with the Ace and King both worth up to 2x, while the Queen, Jack, and Ten have a top payout of 1.5x. The Wild symbol does not have a value, but it lands on the second, third, and fourth reels and substitutes for all symbols.

Before spinning, you’ll want to choose an adequate bet size, and on Fruit Flash, you can select from a minimum of €0.10 per spin up to a maximum of €40.00. I think this betting range will satisfy most real money players, although a very small percentage would perhaps find the upper limit a little low.

Fruit Flash Slot Base Game & Modifiers

Fruit Flash Slot Base Game

Fruit Flash is a high variance slot with a 5-reel and 3-row format, offering 243 ways to win. How you win is simple: just land three or more matching symbols on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel, and you’ll receive a payout.

Win Frame & Prize Ladder

Regular symbol combinations are not the only way to bring in the wins needed to bolster your balance, as win frames and a prize ladder can throw some your way as well. At the start of every spin, the middle position on the central reel has a frame around it. If the symbol that lands within it is involved in a winning combo, it is collected as a number and applied to the Prize Ladder to the right of the reels.

The frame now expands to fill the reel, and a respin is awarded. If further winning combinations occur, their number values are collected in the prize ladder. The respins continue unto no new combos are created, and you win the payout achieved on the prize ladder. The prizes are as follows:

  • 6 symbols: 2x
  • 12 symbols: 5x
  • 18 symbols: 10x
  • 24 symbols: 15x
  • 30 symbols: 50x
  • 36 symbols: 100x
  • 42 symbols: 200x
  • 48 symbols: 500x
  • 54 symbols: 1250x
  • 60 symbols: 2500x.

If you make it to 18 symbols on a base game spin, you’ll also trigger the free spins bonus when the current spin comes to an end. Let’s take a look at what that has to offer.

Free Spins Feature

Once the bonus game is triggered, you’ll receive 10 free spins of the reels with the values on the prize ladder double what they are in the base game. The Win Frame is also expanded throughout the bonus, and you’ll trigger an additional 10 free spins each time you collect at least 18 symbols.

Bonus Buy

Although only available in regions where they’re allowed, the Fruit Flash slot has a buy bonus feature. You can use it to purchase the free spins bonus for 90x your current stake.

Pros

  • The Prize Ladder can deliver some lucrative wins.

Cons

  • The 95.71% RTP is slightly below the industry average for online slots.
  • Not much in the way of features.

Fruit Flash Slot Review Final Thoughts

The prize ladder offers some slight levels of entertainment on Fruit Flash and can potentially return some impressive payouts, especially in the free spins bonus. Aside from that, there’s nothing else to get excited about here, and whilst Fruit Flash isn't a terrible game, it’s not one I envisage I'll be playing regularly.
