All of this is topped off along with some “Quick Hit” jackpot bonuses for you to enjoy. The game also lists stacked wilds as being a feature… hmm, not sure about that. How do you discuss a theme like this? Well, the reels are filled with diamonds, stacks of cash, lucky sevens, and dice … I guess it is something of a crossover slot between Twin Spin and Break da Bank Again?! Who knows, I think perhaps the developer may have been trying to create a land-based casino atmosphere with the imagery on display here? I really like it, but it won’t appeal to everyone, I’d say. Some people like there slots with a little more “Zing”.
Heading back to the paytable, the wilds and scatters have no return attached to them – something that is sadly becoming a trend across the industry. Why do this? Surely you can spare a few percentage points of RTP for a big win for hitting an unlikely combination like five wilds or five scatters? Alas., we have the big diamond paying 10x for five of a kind, the lucky seven at 8x, the stack of cash at 6x, and the dice at 4x when you catch all five on a payline. These numbers aren’t super-low for a 25-payline slot, but they certainly aren’t great either.
The bet selection page is something I really love – you are taken to a separate screen where all the choices are laid out in front of you starting with a penny a line for a minimum bet of €0.25, reaching all the way up to a thousand times the minimum of (gulp) €250.00 per spin. I can understand why the maximum payout is set to 1,200x with a maximum bet size like that. But if that reasoning is accurate, I feel it is a disservice to most players who are never going to be betting more than €5.00 to €10.00 per spin
Base Game & Modifiers
There aren’t many surprises in the base gameplay of Gamblelicious, unless you believe the games help files which insists that stacked wilds count as a modifier and that the hold and win feature (which is essentially just the scatter symbols) also counts as a base game feature… Sorry guys, I don’t think so!
It’s simply a typical 5×3 playfield, 25 fixed pay lines, and wins paid for hitting symbols in order from left to right. Stacked wilds can appear at any time, including full stacks which cover entire reels. And there you go, that’s the base game!
Gamblelicious Slot Bonus Feature
This is what it’s all about! Triggering the feature in this game works similarly to a lot of Las Vegas land-based slots; you need to hit six bonus symbols on a single spin to start the feature. It sounds hard, but there are far more bonus symbols than scatters on an average slot machine.
Hold & Win Feature
After hitting your six bonus symbols, the game will whisk you away to a new reel set which contains only bonus and jackpot symbols. You start off with three free spins, and each time a symbol lands, your counter will be reset to three spins. Sometimes you get really lucky and manage to hit symbols every spin… sometimes the bonus flies by in the blink of an eye, and all you get is the value of the six triggering bonus symbols.
Provided you aren’t super unlucky, however, you have a decent chance of hitting some of the jackpot symbols here. Unbelievably, I managed to fill the entire screen the first time I hit this feature – I was simply gobsmacked. Perform this feat yourself, and you too can receive the Grand jackpot of 1,000x your stake.
My total win, if you are interested, was only 1,084x – if I hadn’t filled the screen, it would have been a fairly lame bonus round. Yet I did, suggesting that this payout is relatively easy to hit – don’t think that means it will drop every time you play, but it certainly can’t be a tens of millions to one shot if I got it on my first go… can it?
Major Free Spins Feature
Oh my… I almost missed the free spin feature. How often is it that a game has already caught your attention so heavily that the free spins don’t even seem to matter? Not often, let me tell you!
There are a separate set of scatter symbols which land only on reels two, three, and four. There are labelled in large text “FREE SPINS”, so you won’t miss them. There are a few cool aspects to the free spins too – firstly, all the low-paying symbols are removed from the reels. Thank you, Booming Games, we didn’t need those – did we?
You can also retrigger these free spins by hitting 3 more scatters on the centre three reels, adding another eight spins to your remaining counter. If you hadn’t already guessed, the reason this feature is called the “major” free spins is that you can hit the major jackpot during this feature as well. Better yet – you can even hit the Hold and Win feature during your free spins as well.
Gamblelicious Slot Review Final Thoughts
This is two for two as far as Booming Games are concerned on my part – Blockchain Megaways was a winner, and Gamblelicious is winner too. This is a game worth playing for real money, no doubt at that, but we still recommend you try our demo slot first. Good luck!
