Generous Jack Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I remember being taught about prohibition at school, and it’s insane that such a law was passed when you think about it. Yes, I suppose you can see the logic in some of it, how crime could potentially be reduced and the health benefits that it brings. But could you imagine the government trying to pass such a law in the US now? The world sure was a different place back then, but one person that thrived during this era was the notorious gangster Al Capone, who was said to be worth over 100 million dollars at his peak. That’s around 14.6 billion dollars in modern-day terms. Anyway, enough of the history lesson. As I said in the intro, this was the kind of feeling I got from this slot when it loaded up. People getting together to listen to some jazz and partake in some illegal drinking. Wow, the 1920s were really quite the time. Swiftly moving on to the paytable, and there’s not a vast amount to cover here due to the nature of the game. The main paying symbols are poker chips numbered from 0x – 9x. You will be awarded their value whenever they appear on an active row in the slot. Additional symbols you’ll come across are the Jack symbol which is needed to trigger the free spins feature, and the Dud symbol, which operates as a blank and is of no use at all.
The standard betting range on Generous Jack starts from a minimum of €0.10 a spin and reaches a maximum of €100 a play. You will only have the bottom row of three symbols active for any of these stake sizes and those in between them. If you wish to play the base game with more chances of winning, then you can spin with two active rows for 5x the bet, three active rows for 20x the bet, and all four rows active for 50x your current stake.
Base Game & Modifiers
Once you have decided how many rows you will play with and placed your bet, the positions on the playfield will begin to spin. Here comes the fun part, then, creating your winning combos. If a poker chip lands containing a six on an active row, then at the end of that spin, you will receive 6x. However, if, for example, a poker chip worth 5x lands on the same row next to the six, then you’ll be paid 65x at the end of the spin.
Unfortunately, this is where you often see the dud symbols coming into play. If you had the 6x land, then a dud next to it, followed by a 5x. At the end of the spin, you would receive a win totalling 11x. So really, in essence, the duds can also be considered as blocker symbols, so keep that in mind whilst playing.
Row Activation
Not every player will want to spin with the extra rows initially in play, so how do you activate these? Simple stuff, my friends. Every time a Jack symbol lands in view, he will be collected into the spin meter, you’ll receive a free respin, and the next row will be activated. Collect more Jacks in this one series of respins to work your way up the rows.
Generous Jack Slot Bonus Features
Collecting the special Jack symbols into the free spin meter is how you’ll trigger the main feature on Generous Jack, but it’s not quite as simple as it may seem. The meter comes in four sections, 3 spins, 5 spins, 7 spins, and 10 spins. And on more than several occasions, I collected three Jacks but didn’t trigger the feature. This is because the collected symbols are randomly inserted into the meter, so you must have the three free spins section active before winning any of the higher amounts. That particular section requires three symbols to fill it, so I guess, in theory, you could have to collect up to six before activating the feature, but if this were the case, you’d trigger the maximum amount of spins.
Free Spins
Once the feature is triggered, the number of rows in play when this was achieved is how many will be active for the duration of your bonus. So, the more, the merrier. Then it’s just a case of hoping that as many of the multiplier symbols land next to each other as possible. The Jack symbol is not present in the free spins feature, so it cannot be re-triggered.
Bonus Buy
Those players who can access the bonus buy can jump straight to the free spins feature for a cost of 150x their bet. This will spin the reels in the base game, where the feature will be triggered and between 3 and 10 free spins will be awarded.

You have to take your hat off to Push Gaming; they are trying to mix up their portfolio with some different games at least. Just recently, we had the fun Space Stacks, and now we’ve got Generous Jack, so if you want to experience something that’s not just your generic slot or another boring Megaways release, give either of these titles a go. I must say I did enjoy my time testing Generous Jack, but if it was for real money, I’m not sure how many times I could watch a €1 standard stake keep rolling in three positions of dud symbols.
