I don’t know about you, but those statistics seemed far less interesting than the facts about goats! Don’t click away just yet, though, as things get much more interesting when we look at the feature set. First up, a re-spin feature will activate after every win and will continue as long as new winning combinations land on the reels. A “wild train” runs above reels two through five, and a new set of four carriages will scroll into view on every spin or re-spin. When the wild train and re-spin features align, the game will spice things up even further by awarding either dropping or walking wild symbols, and a gold multiplier can then boost the value of your winnings by up to 10x. Throw in the gold multiplier, mystery feature, free spins, and bonus buy facility, and you have one seriously jam-packed slot machine!

Goat Rush Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I have to give credit to Fantasma for picking such a unique animal to be the star of their new online slot, as I wasn’t able to find a single other machine that was based around goats! It’s about time the goat got some love, to be honest – we’ve had Black Bull, Water Tiger, a million buffalo games such as Buffalo King, and more cats than you can shake a laser pointer at, so why not create a goat-themed online slot! Abraham Lincoln loved goats, don’t you know? Sorry, I’ll stick to the slot now instead of ‘reeling’ off more goat facts!
The Goat Rush paytable doesn’t look hugely impressive at first glance; two symbols share the top spot – a goat’s head and a man with a huge beard – but both will only pay you 5x your bet for a full payline of five of a kind. There’s a character with a huge ginger beard with a 3x return for all five of his symbols, along with a younger-looking guy paying 2.5x, and finally, an older gentleman with a 2x payout. The four low-paying symbols are represented by playing card suits and award either 1.5x or 1.25x the current stake for five of a kind. It’s not a huge surprise that the numbers on the paytable seem relatively low, as the huge feature set has probably limited the amount of RTP that could be directly assigned to the line hits.
Fantasma Games has included a reasonable number of wagering options in Goat Rush, starting at a minimum of €0.20 and topping out at €60.00 per round. So regardless of your playing budget, there should be something here to match the size of your bankroll.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game setup isn’t overly complicated by itself – five reels of three rows each, along with 20 fixed paylines. Wins are awarded for hitting three or more matching symbols starting from the left, and all wins will automatically trigger the re-spin feature. This is where things begin to get a little more complicated – just check out this list of special features!
Respin Feature
Any bet line win during the base game or free spins will activate the re-spin feature. When this occurs, your winnings will be added to the win meter, and the reels will re-spin. This process will repeat indefinitely until no more winning paylines visible on the reels.
Wild Train
The wild train is displayed above the regular reel set, covering reels two through five. One cart will appear above each of the four reels, and each cart can contain either a wild or a blank symbol. A new set of four carts will roll into view on every spin and re-spin.
Walking Wild
At the beginning of each re-spin, all wilds visible on the main reel set will move one step towards the left of the screen. Every time a walking wild symbol moves off the leftmost reel, your golden multiplier will increase by one level.
Dropping Wilds
When a bet line win activates the re-spin feature, all the positions where the winning combination appeared will be marked. If a wild train cart appears above a marked position, the wild it contains will drop onto the lowest marked position directly underneath it. This feature takes place after the Walking Wild feature has been completed.
Gold Multiplier
The gold multiplier is displayed underneath the main reel set and is increased by one level each time a walking wild symbol moves past the leftmost reel. During the base game, the available gold multiplier levels are 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, and 10x. During the free spin mode, the available multipliers increase to 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, 10x, 20x, and 50x. When the re-spin feature completes, the current gold multiplier will be applied to the total win stored in the win meter.
Mystery Modifier
At the start of every spin during both the base game and free spins, there is a chance that the mystery modifier will activate. There are two possible modes: Mystery Pattern and Mystery Wilds.
During the base game, only the Mystery Pattern modifier can activate. During the free spins, both modifiers are available.
- Mystery Pattern: Places a random pattern of six positions on the reel set. One of these positions will become a wild symbol, whilst the remaining five symbols will transform into a random high-paying symbol from the paytable.
- Mystery Wild: Places between one and three wild symbols in random positions on the reel set.
Goat Rush Slot Bonus Features
Hitting three bonus symbols during the base game will award ten free spins. If one or more line hits occur on the same spin, the re-spin feature will play out as usual before the bonus round is activated.
Free Spins
In this mode, the gold multiplier is upgraded with much larger values than those available in the base game. I was a little disappointed to discover that the win meter and gold multiplier values are still reset between free spins, as that would have been a very cool feature to see!
The free spins feature cannot be fully re-triggered, but the game adds one free spin to your remaining counter for each bonus symbol that lands whilst the bonus mode is active. The maximum number of free spins that can be won during a single bonus round is 25.
Bonus Buy
A bonus buy facility is available if you can’t be bothered waiting around for the free spins to trigger naturally. The price to purchase a set of free spins is 65x, the normal cost per spin, which seems like a real bargain! The RTP increases slightly when using this option as well – 94.32% in comparison with the default 94.25%

This is a quirky little game packed with features, and yet somehow Fantasma has managed to do things in such a way that it never feels overly complex or long-winded. The RTP is a little low, but that’s really my only complaint with Goat Rush!
