Theme, stakes, pays & symbols
If you’ve played a few of the slots in Slotmill’s portfolio, you might have experienced some deja vu here and there when playing Gods of Glory. I had a similar experience, so had a look around, and yes, confirmed that this title is similar to Golden Scrolls, but it does have a few differences. The three wild symbols feature in that earlier release, and there are a couple of free spins bonus games. It seems Slotmill has taken some of that title and improved on it by adding an additional free spins bonus and the synced reels feature.
What I did notice is that the payouts on Gods of Glory are somewhat worse than those on Golden Scrolls. The Wild Symbols are the most lucrative here but are worth about half the best on that on GS. Each of the Wilds pays 12.5x the stake for a line of five, the same as a full line of the Zeus-like character. The Red Lady is next with a top return of 10x, followed by the Green Man and Blue Woman, who reward up to 7.5x and 6.25x, respectively. The medium pays are the Shield, Shoe, and Flowers, paying up to 5x, 4.5x, and 3.5x, and the Ace delivers up to 2.25x. All that remains is the King, Queen, and Jack, which all max out at 2x the stake.
The betting range offered by Gods of Glory is a little smaller than some other top-tier online slots, but the minimum/maximum wagers of€ 0.20 and €60.00, respectively, should be enough to please the majority of players.
Base Game & Modifiers
The reel setup used by Gods of Glory is nothing unusual in modern slot gaming. We have a 5×6 grid configuration that, on this particular title, conjures up 40 paylines. Winning combinations can be up to five matching symbols long, but you’ll need at least three across a payline to earn a payout. Combos must start from the leftmost reel and move along consecutive reels.
Wild Symbols
They say the best things in life come in threes, and I doubt anyone will argue, considering there are three wild symbols on the reels of Gods of Glory.
Each reel can only hold one type at a time, but these are the wilds you’ll come across:
- Regular Wild Symbols: These will only be substitutes for regular symbols.
- Downward Expanding Wild Symbols: These expand downwards, replacing all symbols beneath them on their reels.
- Fully Expanding Wilds: These expand to completely fill their reels.
Both types of expanding wild can hold a multiplier value of between 2x and 10x. Those values apply to the payouts the wild symbols help to create. If multiple wilds with multipliers contribute to a winning combination, those multipliers are added together before being applied to the win.
Synced Reels
Triggered randomly, this feature can sync two or more reels to contain the same symbols in the same positions.
Xtra Bet
To spin with 3 times the chance of triggering a free spins bonus, players can use the Xtra-Bet feature for a cost of 50% on top of their current stake.

Gods of Glory is an upgrade on the slot it has taken a lot of inspiration from, Golden Scrolls, but not by a considerable amount. I enjoyed that original release, though, and as Gods of Glory has a couple of added features and I had just as good a time playing it, I’ll mark this one down as a strong recommendation.
