Game Overview
One of my favourite hobbies is diving as, like playing slots, I can zone out and leave the world behind me. Hence, I am always game on when an underwater-themed video slot title hits the online casino scene. With that being said, I don’t know if the Yggdrasil Gaming slot Golden Fish Tank Party is an underwater game or, as the name suggests, set within a fish tank. Either way, it comes with superb tranquil graphics and animations! The Golden Fish Tank Party is an online slot with 6×4 reels, 4,096 ways to win, an RTP of only 94% and a max win of 6,000x your bet.
The slot is another one to add to the Yggdrasil bonus buy collection! As for the main features, Cash and Collector symbols work in tandem during the base game to collect instant multiplier wins, while Cash symbols help to increase a multiplier bar. Scatters can trigger one of two free spins bonus games, one of which comes with a wild symbol and uses the multiplier bar from the base game, while the second free spins bonus features only Cash and Collector Symbols.
Gameplay & Features
Played on a 6×4 reel matrix, Golden Fish Tank Party has 4,096 ways to win. If three or more matching symbols land on adjacent reels beginning from reel 1, the corresponding amount will be awarded from the paytable. Punters can choose to spin with our demo credits or real money from a minimum of €0.20, whilst the highest stake on the slot reaches €100.
Cash & Collector Symbols
Cash symbols are gold coins with multipliers between 0.5x and 20x, and they can land anywhere on the reels. Collectors are crabs on reels 1 and 5 that snap up these multiplier cash symbols and accumulate them. However, you’ll only get paid if you land 2 collector symbols on a reel spin.
Multipliers
During the base game, you’ll build up multipliers for when you trigger the Wild Party Free Spins bonus. When a Cash Symbol lands with no Collector symbol, it will increase the multiplier bar next to the yellow puffer fish above the reels. Each time you fill the collection bar by collecting 12 Cash symbols, it will add a +1 multiplier.
Free Spins
When you land 3+ octopus scatters, the Golden Fish Tank Party slot will randomly award you with Cash Party Free Spins or Wild Party Free Spins.
- Cash Party Free Spins: 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters will award 4, 6, 8, or 12 free spins, respectively. All regular symbols vacate the reels, leaving only Cash Symbols and Cash Collectors.
- Wild Party Free Spins: 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters trigger 10, 15, 20, or 30 free spins if you land the Wild Party free spins feature. In this bonus game, there is a glowing starfish, which is a wild symbol that substitutes for all regular paying symbols. Every combination win during this bonus will have the base game multiplier applied. Plus, to add to the fun, you can earn 5 additional free spins for every 2 scatters that hit the reels.
Golden Bet
When you turn on the golden bet, your stake will become 1.5x the bet and double your chances of landing scatters to trigger one of the two free spins bonuses.
Bonus Buy
- Cash Party Free Spins with Random Multiplier: 72x your spin bet.
- Wild Party Free Spins with Random Multiplier: 72x your spin bet.
Pros
- Two free spins bonus rounds keep things interesting.
- Win Cash multipliers via Collector symbols during the base game.
Cons
- Low 94% RTP - 2% below what we would say is the industry standard, which is 96%.
- There are no base game wild symbols.
Golden Fish Tank Party Slot Review Final Thoughts
Golden Fish Tank Party gives you two free spin rounds, which keeps things interesting, while this game doesn’t leave you hanging in the base game with no features, which is thanks to the Cash and Collector Symbol. I also like the idea of building up the multipliers at the top of the reels, which, although you need 20 to increase the multiplier by +1, the meter fills up quicker than you might think.
