Happy Taxi Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a taxi themed slot prior to this one, but there are certainly plenty of driving inspired games available. One of those is the Relax Gaming slot titled Hot Rod Racers. It features transforming wilds and two bonus rounds, one of which is a super variant and presents the best opportunity to drive yourself towards its supped-up maximum win of 25,000x. There are some impressive values on offer over at the paytable. The best of those comes in the shape of the Taxi Driver symbol, which will return a whopping 1,000x bet per line of five. Happy Taxi Slot Base Game
Happy Taxi uses a five-reel grid, with three row positions on each, with nine fixed paylines. However, thanks to the both-ways pay system, the number of ways to win doubles, rising to 18. All winning combinations are formed by matching a minimum of three corresponding symbols from left to right or right to left, commencing on the leftmost or rightmost reel. The exception to this rule is the taxi driver, yellow taxi, and blue taxi symbols, which will return a small payout for just two symbols in a line.
Wild Multipliers
In the base game, wild multipliers can randomly land on any row position on reels 2, 3, or 4. These symbols can be either a normal wild, which substitutes for any paytable symbol in a winning combination, or a multiplier wild, containing a value of either x2, x3, or x4, which is applied to the win.
Happy Taxi Slot Bonus Features
Scatter symbols can land on reels 2, 3, and 4 only. Landing three scatters within the same spin will trigger the bonus game. All standard paytable symbols are removed from the reels during this feature, leaving only stake value multipliers of 0.5x, 1x, 2x, and 3x, golden Rolls Royce symbols, and taxi driver symbols.
Bonus Game
The bonus will begin with three respins, which are reset each time an additional symbol lands on the reels. All stake multiplier values that land on the grid will hold in position, being totalled up and paid as a win at the end. Rolls Royce symbols will collect the value of all other symbols on the screen, including any other Rolls Royce symbols that may be present. The taxi driver symbol will increase the value of any stake multipliers on the grid by +0.5. The feature will end once there are three consecutive spins in which no further symbols land or if the full screen is filled, for which there is no additional reward.

Happy Taxi Slot Review Final Thoughts
I enjoyed the theme of Happy Taxi, and it's been graphically well presented, which is often the case with a Jili Games title. The gameplay in the base is good fun, with high value pay symbols, multiplier wilds, and the both-ways pay system making it a solid slotting experience, although I do wonder why the maximum win is capped at 1,500x considering the potential here. The bonus game, for me, lets this slot down. The spin and collect style feature is becoming very stale, and there’s nothing new here to make it stand out above the many other similar features that are available in different games.
