Heroes Hunt Megaways™ takes on a fantasy theme and Fantasma have crafted a beautiful looking game that takes you deep into the world they have created. The reels are placed in the backdrop of a cave which upgrades to a setting that could be mistaken for something out of a Hobbit film during the bonus round, as the dragon is seen protecting its gold.
The lower value symbols that are present on the game are made up of 4 gems that are coloured blue, turquoise, purple, and green, wins as low as 0.1x and up to 2.5x can be created through then. One of the most popular in game features on a Megaways™ Slot is the cascading reels mechanic. This plays an integral part in the workings of Heroes Hunt Megaways™, and for any of you who have previously played Relax Gaming’s Temple Tumble Megaways™, there are a lot of similarities between the two games with regards to the cascading reels. But if you haven’t then don’t worry, as we will explain it to you anyway.
As the symbols fall down on to the playfield a random amount of Megaways™ are awarded. To increase the amount of Megaways™ you will need a winning combination to take place, these are made when 3 or more matching symbols connect on adjacent reels starting from reel number 1.
If a winning connection is formed it will cause the symbols that are part of that win to explode and with it smash the blocks that are adjacent to them. This will increase the amount of Megaways™ and new symbols will then drop down to fill the spaces that have been left behind. Cascades will continue until no further winning combinations are made, with the maximum amount of achievable Megaways™ being 46,656.
Heroes Hunt Megaways™ Modifiers
As you begin your play on Heroes Hunt Megaways™ you are required to select one of three characters to play with. These characters all have their own individual modifiers which can help to generate some wins for you, we will go in to each characters capabilities a little further into this section.
The aim is to unlock the remaining two characters as you will need all 3 of them to be active before you have a chance of triggering the free spin feature. Unlocking these characters is achieved through a treasure chest symbol landing on the reels that will reward you with experience points, a total of 3 EXP points are needed to unlock a new character.
As promised we have listed the characters and the modifiers that they possess below for you to read more about.
- Wizard: Explosion Feature – When triggered the Wizards orb will blast the reels and place a mega symbol of either 2×2 or 3×3 in size. This can potentially lead to some good wins if the symbol is well placed.
- Warrior: Expanding Wild Feature – If triggered the Warrior sword will carve expanding wilds on to the reel, which in turn will cover the entirety of that reel. This wild will also contain a multiplier value that will range from x1 – x6. Multiple wilds are able to land which can multiply each other to produce some massive wins.
- Archer: Respin Feature – Triggering the Archer respin feature will see the reels bombarded with an amount of arrows ranging from 3 – 20. When these arrows land on a symbol, that symbol will then be removed and new symbols will drop down in the form of a cascade. This gives the opportunity for additional wins, as well as the chance for more modifiers to be triggered.
Heroes Hunt Megaways™ Free Spin Feature
We previously mentioned that when you have all 3 modifiers active you will then have a chance of being able to trigger the free spin feature. This is only possible when all three are in play because the special key scatter symbol only appears on the reels once they are active. You will need to collect all of the keys in the same series of wins other wise they will reset back to zero. Successfully triggering the free spin bonus will award you with 10 free spins, where all modifiers will be active for the duration of the bonus.
As your free spin feature begins the reels will now also contain the Dragon symbol, these will act as both a high paying symbol and a re-triggering symbol. Whenever it is destroyed by a winning cascade or modifier you will be rewarded with one extra spin for each symbol that is removed from the reels.
Heroes Hunt Megaways™ Mimic Free Spin Feature
The treasure chest that we talked about earlier that can award the EXP points also has the ability to randomly award the Mimic free spins feature. If this bonus is triggered then you will receive 10 free spins to begin it with, and all 3 modifiers will be in play for the duration of the feature. Players should note that the Mimic free spin feature cannot be re-triggered.
