This time, the theme tune I’m about to stick in your head is from the popular Inspector Gadget cartoon. Admit it, you’re “dun du dun du dunning” as we speak, right? As you’ve probably guessed, I’m reviewing the slot of the same name from Blueprint Gaming, and if you’ve played some of the developer’s branded slots in the past, you’ll know you’re in for a treat. Inspector Gadget is a 5-reel, 4-row, and 20-payline slot with high variance, a 5,000x max win, and an RTP of up to 96.49%.
To be honest, I still remember coming home from school and whacking on the television at around 4 pm to watch cartoons, and this was one of my favourites. There’s something cool about a private investigator who has a bunch of gadgets he can use to solve crimes. Obviously, those gadgets played up quite a bit, which is why the show was so funny. You’ll get a lot of comedy moments playing the Inspector Gadget slot as well, while you’ll also get a ton of modifiers and bonus features to boot. Inspector Gadget Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
It’s not all that long since I reviewed another branded cartoon slot from Blueprint Gaming, and you’re probably going to hate me for ensuring another theme tune sticks in your brain, but it was the Flintstones. That didn’t have as many features and modifiers as Inspector Gadget, but there’s still plenty to check out if you’re in the mood for cartoon-themed slot games. I know you’re now yelling out Willlllmmmaaaa and quotes from the Ted movie, but put them on the back burner for now, well, until you’ve at least learned what Inspector Gadget offers. The paytable section is what I’ll describe first, as I’m sure you want to know the sort of payouts that can come your way. The Wild symbol, which substitutes for all regular symbols, shares the top spot with the Inspector Gadget symbol as both return 25x the stake for five in a row. Gadget’s legendary Car and the Secret Document are both worth up to 15x, and the Safe and the Handcuffs deliver wins of up to 10x. Falling to the lower pays on the game, the Ace and King return a maximum of 5x, and the Queen and Jack have a top payout of 2.5x.
Completing this section, we end with the available bets on Inspector Gadget, and in the demo slot, you can stake between €0.20 and €5.00 per spin, although I suspect that the real money version of the slot may allow you to bet a little higher than this.
Inspector Gadget Slot Base Game
Inspector Gadget is played on a 5×4 reel matrix where a total of 20 fixed paylines are active. Wins will be awarded if at least three (two in the case of the Gadget and Wild symbols) land on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel first.
Go Go Gadget Spin Modifiers
Triggered randomly, the phone can ring to award one of the following five modifiers:
- Mission Gadget Wilds: Gadget will add random wild symbols on the reels. Furthermore, Go Go Gadget Reels can trigger to expand the reels up to 7 symbols high and activate up to 50 paylines.
- Mission Penny Stacked Wilds: Stacked Wilds are randomly added to the reels. The Go Go Gadget can also trigger during this modifier.
- Mission Mystery Brain: A random number of Mystery Brain symbols are added to the reels before they transform into the same type of symbol. Go Go Gadget can trigger via this modifier as well.
- Mission Colossal Symbols: A colossal symbol will appear on reels 1, 2, 3, or 4.
- Mission M.A.D Added: The MAD symbols are added to the reels, and you’re given an anticipation spin to see if three or more bonus symbols land to trigger the bonus.
Inspector Gadget Slot Bonus Features
Inspector Gadget is like the Swiss Army Knife of slots when it comes to bonus games, as there are five you can trigger once three or more bonus symbols land anywhere in view. When that happens, you’re given a spin of a wheel to reveal which of the following you’ll receive:
Bonus Rounds
- Safe Heist: This is a picking game that reveals cash prizes. You keep picking until an offer is made to you. You can accept it or reject it and carry on.
- Dr Claw’s M.A.D Agent Bonus: Another picking game that allows you to find a multiplier of your stake as a win. Finding cats upgrades the multipliers available, while finding the M.A.D symbols triggers the M.A.D Money Bonus.
- Every Penny Counts Free Spins: This is a free spins bonus game played across multiple reel sets that feature sticky wilds.
- M.A.D Dash Free Spins: You receive free spins on a 5×4 reel configuration with a trail above them. When a Car symbol lands on the reels, it will move along the trail and land on a prize.
- M.A.D Money Bonus: This bonus triggers via some of the above bonuses or when you land five scatter symbols on the triggering spin. It is a pick-me game, and the idea is to continue picking until you find the Collect symbol.

Inspector Gadget Slot Review Final Thoughts
As is usually the case with branded Blueprint Gaming slots, I had a fantastic time testing Inspector Gadget and reviewing it. That’s not just because I was able to revisit memories of watching this cartoon as a kid, either. The slot has so much going on in terms of features and modifiers, is exceptionally well-designed, and is generally a lot of fun.
