Invading Vegas Slot (Play'n Go) Slot Demo & Review

The casinos of Las Vegas, Nevada, are world-famous for their near-unmatched size and scale. The city has earned the name “Sin City” for its enviable reputation as the world’s party capital, and only the Chinese island of Macau comes close to America’s gambling capital in terms of gaming revenue. It stands to reason, then, that if aliens ever do visit Earth, the first place they are going to want to hang out would probably be Las Vegas! Okay, that’s perhaps a stretch, but it sure is a fun idea! Play’N’Go obviously thinks so, too, judging by their new Invading Vegas online slot. The game offers twenty fixed paylines, a 96.20% RTP, and has a top win of 1,000x your bet.

I had only been spinning this slot for 30 seconds when I caught a glimpse of a base game feature – the “Lock On Re-Spin” is triggered any time that two full stacks of symbols appear on reels one and two, causing the third reel to re-spin for a second chance at creating a big win. If the lock-on re-spin results in a full stack of wilds landing on reel three, a secondary walking wild feature will be triggered, creating additional opportunities to boost your bankroll. The main bonus round is a typical free spins feature that awards 12 spins on an upgraded reel set.

Invading Vegas Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Invading Vegas Slot Paytable
Invading Vegas slot paytable

Las Vegas is considered the gambling capital of the world, so it makes perfect sense that slot developers would create games with a Las Vegas theme. Play’N’Go has plenty of competition here, though, as a quick glance at our review of the amazing 9K Kong in Vegas will surely confirm. However, this is a very different game to 4ThePlayer’s slot, and the maximum win of just 1,000x your bet is likely to dampen enthusiasm for this release.

The highest-paying symbol on the paytable looks like a three-way tie between the wild, scatter, and Elvis; now that’s a sentence I never thought I would write! Upon further inspection, however, it turns out that the scatters are by far the most valuable symbol, as these will pay you 250x your bet for all five appearing anywhere on the reels. Meanwhile, Elvis and the wild will pay you 250 COINS, equating to just 12.5x your bet for each set of five of a kind. The following two characters – an older gentleman wearing a cowboy hat, and a lady with purple hair – will each pay you 4x your bet for all five symbols, whilst the remaining two characters have a return of just 2x the current stake for a complete payline. It’s difficult to see how these low payouts can make sense at first, but all symbols appear in stacked configurations, meaning that you can win up to 20x the amounts listed on the paytable.

Choosing your bet is performed by selecting a coin value and the number of coins you wish to bet per line, resulting in minimum/maximum wagers of €0.20 and €100.00, respectively. This setup also means that there is a high degree of flexibility for those who wish to bet somewhere between the two extremes.

Base Game & Modifiers

Invading Vegas Slot Base Game
Invading Vegas slot base game

I’ve been spinning Invading Vegas for nearly an hour now, and I’ve realised that the game shares many similarities with Play’N’Go’s previous Super Flip and USA Flip online slots. The game shares the same 5×3 playfield, the same 20 fixed paylines, and an identical feature set in the case of USA Flip.

Lock On Respin

A re-spin will be triggered on the middle reel only whenever two identical stacks of matching symbols appear on reels one and two. This gives you a second chance to land a big win and is all the more helpful if you happen to have matching symbols on reels four and five.

Walking Wild

If the lock-on re-spin feature results in a stack of wilds landing on the third reel, a secondary waking wild feature will be triggered. The wilds on the third reel will now move to the right by one reel, and the game will re-spin the reels for a second time. This process will repeat until the stacked wilds have moved off the edge of the screen, after which the game will award one final free re-spin.

Invading Vegas Slot Bonus Features

Invading Vegas Slot Free Spins Feature

The free spin bonus round will be activated when three or more scatter symbols land during the base game. There is no benefit to the bonus round when hitting four or five scatter symbols, but the game does pay a higher cash premium for these better triggering combinations.

Free Spins

The free spins feature is played on a flipped reel set, which Play’N’Go states will result in bigger wins, but the bonus round is otherwise almost identical to the base game. The walking wild feature does move towards the left in this mode due to the reel set being reversed, but I can’t help but feel a tad disappointed by this feature overall.

Invading Vegas Slot Review Final Thoughts

This is nothing more than a clone of Play’N’Go’s previous USA Flip online slot, which was a distinctly average release for a developer who usually produces much better games. With that in mind, it’s tough to recommend this release – try the new Pilgrim of Dead online slot instead.
