Set in a sleepy little town in Cuba, Iron Bank treats us to a bank heist theme that is action packed with modifiers and bonuses. A little extra excitement in the base game never hurt anybody, so it’s great to see that there are 3 modifiers than can randomly trigger whilst you’re enjoying the action on Iron Bank. Below we have highlighted that these modifiers are, and what you can expect from them.
- Random Mystery Symbols – At the beginning of the spin mystery symbols will be added to the reels. When the reels come to a stop all instances of the mystery symbol will transform into the same randomly chosen symbol from the paytable.
- Random Bonus Symbols – Randomly at the start of any spin 1 -3 bonus symbols can be added to the reels. This can drastically improve your chances of triggering the free spin features.
- Full Reel Wilds – It’s possible for full reel wilds to land on the reels between 2 – 5. These wilds can contain a value ranging from x2 up to x10, and will multiply each other if they are combined in a win.
Iron Bank Free Spin Feature
For the bonus feature to be triggered on Iron Bank, you will need 3 or more of the vault scatter symbols to land anywhere in view. If you are to trigger the bonus with more than 3 scatters, you will not be awarded any extra spins, you will just receive a higher cash prize for the initial feature trigger.

Expanding Wilds Free Spin Feature
Choosing the expanding wild free spin feature will award you 10 spins to begin with. Any wilds that land on the marked reels 3 and 4 will expand to fill the reel and a respin will be awarded. Any win that you then hit will increase the multiplier by 1 on each expanded wild that is present.
If both of the expanding wilds are part of a winning combo, then the win is multiplied by each multiplier that is in view. This can lead to some huge wins if you can build the multipliers up. The respins will continue as long as a win is made, or if the second wild lands in the marked area and comes into play.
Mystery Symbols Free Spin Feature
Selecting the mystery symbols free spin bonus will give you with 8 free spins to begin with, but before the feature gets under way, you will be awarded with a random symbol from the paytable that will become your sticky mystery symbol.
Anytime that your symbol lands between the marked reels 2 -6, it will be converted into a mystery symbol and stick in place. At the end of each spin they will then reveal the same randomly chosen symbol from the paytable. If you can fill an entire reel with the sticky mystery symbols, then you will be awarded 1 additional free spin.
Multiplier Collect Free Spin Feature
If you pick the multiplier collect free spin feature, then you will be awarded 12 free spins to begin with. The aim of this feature is to land the crates of coconuts across reels 2 – 5, which will progress the multiplier value that is applied to the wild on the reels they land on, this value can be seen above each reel.
Every 2 coconuts that are collected will increase the multiplier on wilds on that reel by x1. Wins that include several wilds are multiplied by each wild multiplier included in that win.
Each coconut that lands awards 1 – 3 coconuts to the progress meter. Every time you fill the red coconut shooter, you will be awarded with 3 additional free spins.
Iron Bank Slot Review Final Thoughts
The release of Iron Bank has been eagerly awaited, as it is a collaboration between Relax Gaming and Casinogrounds. You can see the influence that the casino streamers have had in this slot, as they have added little variations from other slots that they like into their own creation.
This was probably most noticeable for us with the expanding wild feature, which really reminded us of how the bonus works on BTG’s Lil Devil, and was actually our favourite bonus round to play on Iron Bank.
As a whole the game is very impressive, and we expect this to be an absolute smash with players old and new. There is so much going on with bonuses and modifiers, that you feel you’re only ever one press away from getting involved in some highly entertaining action.
